same!!! that was the biggest reason i was so excited for it since the announcement😭 i’m so glad to see her essence so clearly in the trailer especially the colours since i noticed she really loves warm/cool contrast and her intimate scenes are top-notch, done in such a romantic way like the stepping on both of his feet thing - that was also done in the forbidden flower. hopefully her writing improved and we get both amazing cinematography and script!

I am loving the camerawork because there’s actual creative intention in the way they shoot the scenes and not just for aesthetic purposes.
The reason why that tulip rain scene is so mesmerizing is not just because of the visual of the scene itself but also because it was shot as if we were in he suye’s pov - seeing shen xifan at her happiest, running towards him with an unrestrained smile to shelter him from the rain - he was attracted by her charm, then sympathize with her sorrow but he fell in love with her happiness idk about anyone else but thats peak romance for me
The execution of both the romance and angst was done very well and we’re gonna get their dating era tonight FINALLY 😭👍

the drama has been giving us parallels of her ex and hsy to allude to all these factors, and she is probably aware that he’s not going to be the same kind of person her ex was BUT although her heart has accepted hsy, her mind is still in the process of healing. it takes time but it will be beautiful once they all come tgt in the end!

her intention to distance themselves comes from her trauma with her ex, she doesn’t want hsy to feel the same way her ex ‘felt’ about being with her which is a way of her trying to protect them both from being hurt. although it doesn’t change the fact that she was wrong, we can try to understand that her insecurities and faults come from past traumatic experiences and not because she wants to - if she was in a healthier mindset, she would definitely jump straight into his arms, you can tell she’s in love with him already but the thing is she’d been stuck in a 7 years relationship filled with manipulation, verbal abuse and discrimination and she’s only been out of it, if she goes into a new relationship with her mindset right now, it wouldn’t be good either. this drama is all about healing, both the body, the mind and the heart so let’s calm down and wait for a reunion that will be healthier and worth it instead 🫶

yep!! i also saw that patrick finkler is one of the cast so there might be a chance actually. it kinda added to my excitement since i was just listening to skyline by bilkin and another song by fellow fellow while thinking about this drama😭

kudos to both xinxin and xu kai honestly they both are amazing in here like xinxin is bringing yq to life with every bit and detail and xu kai’s ability to play as two different characters is amazing because not once did i associate yjz and blh as the same person. not to mention their chemistry, just 2 eps in and we can see how they act as though they really did spend 3 years depending solely on each other despite us not even seeing the backstory. i hope they know that whether the drama become a ‘hit’ or not, their talent and efforts are very well recognized by everyone <3
