Haahhaa you wish it was who???? Whaaaat the Zhao lusi that destroyed who rules the world and made it into a child…
Yeah that was trauma. Honestly I don't care how good of an actor, if you look you could be her father is an instant no and I automatically don't see any chemistry but creeps
I'm on episode 17, obviously still far behind. I'm still liking it, although I've come to realize the story tone…
Haahhaa you wish it was who???? Whaaaat the Zhao lusi that destroyed who rules the world and made it into a child play like instead of a warrior?? And why would zhao lusi act with someone much older than her like the ml.. Oh right because that's her eternal role a much younger girl with much older men. Sad to say it's not that kind of drama! The FL is a badass, strong and intelligent, mature woman(being mature is a compliment) I suggest maybe this is not for you.. You go watch lusi in a random drama where she is groomed and plays 17 yr or 14 yr with her baby voice.
This is a review written by someone else that fully represent why I strongly dislike this drama!
Story is too cheesy for my liking and even odd at times. The gap created between the leads was too large and some scenes even felt uncomfortable to watch...
***spoiler*** As someone who has not read the original, I can only rate the storyline based on the drama. The drama begins with a bus scene where the ML drops by the FL's personal chat group and comments about a dish. That scene alone threw me off as it felt almost predatory and raised immediate red flags. There are many scenes within the first few episodes that follow a similar pattern. ML sends direct messages to the FL or just randomly talks to her and shares recipes, asks what she is doing. To a certain extent, I can understand the FL's fascination and reaction to the voice msgs as she has idolized the ML for years but as the audience you can't ignore how odd this is. And once you learn about the age gap (in the drama), the messages almost feel inappropriate as if the ML is grooming her/taking advantage of her naivety as his fan.
As the drama goes on, it continues to shine light on the ML, painting him as the perfect boyfriend while muting the FL, focusing on her visuals only. And perhaps too perfect, the ML's actions and tone felt forced at times, making their interactions awkward and unnatural. The FL felt one dimensional with not much else going on in her life; the drama fails to portray Zhou's character's charms and achievements which is a shame. Another point of contention is that there's little to no explanation why the ML fell in love with the FL as he basically started pursing her from the start with the random voice notes. The leads' love story lacked substance, with the ML feeling the desire to marry the FL on their first trip together when they barely dated was far from romantic and unconvincing.
All in all, I find the storyline to be too unrealistic and underdeveloped. It was an injustice to the cast as it was lacking in so many departments. The actors couldn't flush out their characters as their story lacked so many details that were necessary. I am currently on episode 22 and plan to finish the drama but feel most would drop this unless they are a fan of Zhou or Tan like myself.
It's fiction, so it doesn't always make sense. If you don't like a fluffy show, that's fine, but don't make baseless…
I have just read this review and it defined better how I felt about this drama and why it's a 1. Boring and predatory

Kinda funny that I binged the show specifically for the underwhelming and boring ml. I loved getting underwhelmed…
As vibrant as a tomb ππand should him Pershing her like a stalker be an appealing, attractive trait? Should I be moved by that? Because I am definitely not. He is the dullest person on the planet and sml has always been by the FL side in the most supporting way. So yeah not even close
Because majority of girls preferred older guys because of maturity I don't think a 26 year man have same experience…
I don't know who are these girls are πππ I sure don't know anyone who would willing choose a middle age man. I would personally go for slightly younger or my same age, people who go older it's a year or two not 10 β οΈ
hard disagree. i like pretty female leads with great sense of styling:)
I mean good for you? We all have our preferences. In this kind of role I like down to earth, good at acting actresses. That I can relate to and cheer for! But a random pretty girl getting the guy is just whatever really. Don't care about it
