i think he's acting according tho the novel because i also found him a bit lacking but its because of his nonchalant…
Well his character is not the type to cry out loud that all of is teeth and mouth will be opened due to his aloof and nonchalant behavior so it is a surprise to see him break down that much one can really see the pain and regret in is eyes
Did anyone notice the smoked heat coming out from Xing Zhi's body,when the general was saying the report, like man was literally boiling from within, I must say hats off to him with that excellent acting 👏😊

Yes I can't believe I was almost going to cry, I was like common why are you crying 😭 and the background music was not helping at all it just keeps the emotional tears flowing even more.
