ngl Star Trails was the first cnovel ive ever read because they casted shuxin and heyu.. the closest one with the same trope that has full translation will be Wild Dog Bones, it’s more angsty and has more sexual tension than star trails, though I definitely prefer star trails over wild dog bones (didn’t finish it) but you can give it a try 😊 it also will be adapted as drama starring zhang jingyi and song weilong

the latest poster stated the directors and co-directors for this drama are yu chungchung, ma ming, xu lingling, and zhao xiaolei. and the screenwriter is zhao xiaolei. from reuters, we only saw directors yu chungchung, ma ming, and xu lingling but from the trailer, it has zhao xiaolei’s touch. The others had done good enough for the filming, now let ZXL do her magic for editing pls 🙏

in the drama, jin qiang & his new family “might” be more open & warm to jin zhao.. even jin xin isn’t bratty like in the novel

i don’t really mind as long as they are not blood related and this is all fictional. personally, just hope they don’t put too much emphasise on their childhood memories and when mumu has this phase where she accepted him as a brother before she realised her feelings, just don’t drag it out and make it awkward pls

in the first place im watching this just for shuxin & heyu 😆 but after reading the novel, i also fall in love with mumu and jin zhao

i did saw 🏝️ commented abt it. Yeah just gonna ignore all this nonsense rumours & fw of any actors in cent to protect my peace.. gonna enjoy the drama to support heyu & shuxin 😇

shuxin said she is excited to work with 2 directors (yu chungchung & zhao xiaolei) but we only saw yu chungchung on reuters, FINGERCROSSED ZXL is the one who is in charge on the editing because the trailer is totally her style & this genre cinematography is kinda her forte

an intense and more popular IP of the same trope, wild dog bones starring zhang jingyi & song weilong is getting film in may, soo if these two dramas are well received, these platforms might produce it more 😅

quite funny that shuxin and heyu acted in chinese paladin franchise, sword and fairy 6 and sword and fairy 1 respectively.. and shuxin’s character, Qi has love line & sibling-like relationship with a character name Jinzhao

and in speed and love, she also has sis-bro & romantic relationship with character named Jin Zhao

rational fans know that if a drama is a successful is bcus of the director, screenwriter etc did a good job, it’s a *team work with all the actors and the creative team*. even shuxin placed the importance of director, (and others that I forgot) even before actor themselves.. giving credit to only one person is bs, ppl with sane mind know that

plus.. it’s the good word of mouth and general audience can really determine whether the drama is a big hit or not. fandom power is good for exposure but can only bring to a limited achievement.. and not all her fans are hating on this drama and he yu (tbh all fandoms secretly & openly hate e/o esp. cfans, what’s new),, manyy are still supportive, there might be language barrier but just need to find the right platform & page :)

ik it’s quite a bummer but it’s better to differentiate the drama from the novel to avoid further disappointment bcus they will deviate, although the essence is there.. it will be very different. the drama synopsis kinda stated her life in thailand is colourful so it probably wont be like the novel jiang mu in tonggang .. plus they need to promote thailand ig by showing the positive sides

imo it gives more highlights for both mumu and shuxin with the street dancing, singing, etc to show she also has her own life and fun(?) bcus her school life in tonggang is quite dull. but i totally get where you are coming from, that’s why most novel fans are scared when their favs novels are getting adapted

his character name is Lin Sui, new role and not in the novel, mike said lin sui is a thai who can speak chinese and he’s probably the richest guy in the series. His mansion is full of sports cars
