Exactly..how could S+ stars end up in a lousy romcom, it doesn't even fit romcom. No romance at all, no story as well, just few friends at school. And that is it.
I am actually getting irritated by how many times qiao xi has left ying tao anonymously though unintentional may be. I literally dropped the drama at ep 15 for a moment. The story is revolving around a single point only, it's only about either school or jian qiao xi leaving. The drama is almost ending, no new leaf has been opened up yet. And forget about how the scenes are cut abruptly. Also, the lighting 🙁 pretty much disappointed, started the drama with a lot higher expectations just like the best thing😭
Despite the Hate and all negative comments, i find drama is pretty watchable. Yes i agree, there were some 4-5 cliche scenes but over 10 episodes, that was nothing notable. If you look at the dubbed voice, it's pretty decent and matches with bai lu's own voice. I can't explain how pretty joseph is looking in that immortal attire. The whole cast is good, acting is nice, humour at times was good. Bai lu and joseph are looking great together. The only thing i disliked a little is CGX is really too much. Scenes looked really computerized. But obviously it's xianxia, acceptable.
In nutshell, good watch. I don't feel bored while i am on screen, every episode ends at a beautiful turn, which makes me anxious of what next

If you are going for costume dramas only, true there aren't much to explore for now. But some modern dramas are really good like the best thing, the first frost. And many others. For costume dramas, try ren jialun's demon hunter's romance. Though it might not be some hi-fi kind of but still a fair watch
No, very unlikely. Because in MM, it wasn't all CGI actually. They used real buildings, that moon palace was actually a real palace, they just color corrected it if you know. And at all other places as well, they didn't use any fake scenery, just color correction and some additional decorations
