All of them are same and do have ratings max 8.5. This is from where my question comes. For 8.9 rating, what's new?

I don't know why...but with 8.9 ratings, i feel it's little overrated..i understand it's good. Plot is interesting, none of the parts are boring, but still it's nothing new. Same palace politics, conspiracies, step mother, love affairs, poisoning etc etc. I mean where does the drama stand out?
It kicked off with a very good start..what a savage female lead. Loved it totally. But the rumors of hans zhang's inappropriate touch is making me wary of him. Because kang ju didn't see her at all..only shrimp and YZJ saw her..and later on shrimp and duan wu were covered by those burning sticks..still the exact reason is yet to come. This is what i think from what is shown
