I'm really enjoying this drama so far. If it keeps this up, it might actually overtake Forever Love as my favorite youth school romance c-drama. Please don't mess up the latter half
Song Zu Er looks absolutely stunning. Her acting is better here than in "The Demon Hunter's Romance" imo. So far, this is my favorite performance from any of the 95 flowers. Can't wait to see how this goes.

Basically, people claimed the director mistreated the two leads and only used them to push the other 2. It caused a huge backlash at the time. Maybe the English sources didn’t cover any of it. I’m not saying whether it’s true or not, but the fans of the main leads (in China and SEA) were really mad, so I doubt they can work together again without upsetting the fans
I couldn’t stand the male lead and the "romance" between the main couple. I wish they had spent more time on the other two couples. This drama is not bad, just far from being a great one.

Considering all the drama surrounding the director and the two leads, I doubt they’ll ever work together again. Maybe the ending was made with a possible season 2 in mind, but the reception prevented any chance of that happening
There’s a lot to love about this drama, but I just can’t bring myself to like the male lead. I hate pretty much everything about him. And that cliffhanger for a season 2 that will never happen is criminal. Lu Yu Xiao really fits this type of character, definitely the most interesting one (before the last few episodes)

Oh, for sure I’m salty about 10k votes on an adaptation of a novel I don't even like. Because, you know, MDL ratings really matter. Meanwhile, half the comments here are just people talking about ratings
The adaptation somehow turns the good parts of the novel bad and makes the bad parts even worse. I will never understand why this type of childlish drama always gets high ratings on MDL
The 1st sister is amazing, but I hate her romance arc the most. Not that her husband is bad. I just don't think he deserves her. The 2nd sis is okay, but her husband is dumb and boring. The 3rd and 4th couple are fine. Not bad, not great. The 5th couple, well… they’re a couple, I guess.
