They are probably doing this because everyone binge watches these day . But not all shows work as 12 episode series . I recently watched like flowers in the sand that show need more episodes. The ending of that show felt rushed. I hope fiery priest season 2 has a satisfying ending in case they don't come back for another season.

the original series was actually 40 episodes when it aired . It got edited down to 20 for streaming on netflix. On viki they kept it 40 episodes

It felt like the romance also got pushed aside too. I'm a bit disappointed we didn't get much romance between Baek Doo and Du-Sik until the final episode. the kiss was very awkward .They honestly should have done 16 episodes . Murder mystery felt like it got added late into the script to make the show more interesting, It could have been better resolved

I figured out later hes bad at Korean . Hes always getting words confused and is always getting corrected by Hoon and Joon. Also according reddit there was Unnie was also acceptable term for older males. I think its latter . Also there is a spoiler reason as to why he like feminine things . I noticed this with Welcome to Samdalri too. It noticed its only the older shows that bothered to hire younger actors to play teen versions of characters. If they're going to be this cheap why bother doing flashbacks.
