it's not about realistic,it's all about making some sense if you have a social message in your drama that can reach to international audience you can't just mess it up by your own random screenplay and naration you have to give justice to social message that you are going to convey to audience which the drama failed completely because it's focused more on its own agenda rather giving justification to characters or its own plot,this is not typical romcoms to play however they want with characters.
