Just finished, this drama was SOOO good!! Like wow, just wow. I didn’t sleep or shower for two days lol. The best character depth I’ve seen since the untamed. What happened to the side kicks and servant was unnecessary but besides that, this series killed it!! I don’t know what to do with my life now so I am rewatching on Netflix hahah

I am on episode 20 and just came here to say the evil fat magistrate of huaxiao is so disgusting and vile I literally have violent thoughts of killing him and he isn’t even real…….this drama gives me so much anxiety and I cannot stop watching ….it is SO good

I’m only on episode 7 of season 2 and just came here to say that Fan Sizhe’s character is so endearing … I totally cried during that father son scene right before he left 😭

I have the exact same feelings. I love the story line, ML and all the characters and casts EXCEPT for FL - they could have done so much better with her but instead they wasted Li Qin’s acting talents on a weak and annoying girl 🙁

I am really trying to get into this drama because everyone speaks so highly of it…but the princess’ character really drives me nuts…like she is so weak and I’m not getting any depth from her character at all ugh. I’ve watched Li qin in other roles that I’ve loved but I hate this one for her. I’m currently on episode 11 where they find out about each other and I want to gag at their oogly eyes….like okay, you fell in love at first site over a chicken drumstick after meeting for five minutes…..can someone tell me if the princess’ character gets better? Is there any character development or is she just annoying the entire series??

My favorite character in this whole series, besides Princess YY. Alan Feng really killed this role!!

I don’t know if I can get through all the death scenes :( but Princess YY and Yu Shisan’s characters are my absolute favorite.

Hi, I just came back to say… HOLY SHIT does princess YY have character development. I know the shitty ending and don’t want to watch anymore bc of it but damn, I’m watching just bc her character is sooo badass now!

Hi, does the princess’ character get any better though? I am on episode 6 and find her to be incredibly annoying, weak and crying all the time. Her temper tantrums are really really annoying….really hoping she experiences growth but right now I can’t stand her. Also, her voice is annoying. I find Zhao Lusi’s version of Princess Leyen to be a million times better and love the character development. Right now at episode 6, I feel like this Princess seriously needs to shuttup and grow up.
