I’m so glad that the surrealistic elements aren’t just used in the first episode. The dreamy-looking scene by the river in episode 2 and the dance scene in episode 3 are so beautiful and are definitely my favorite moments of the series so far. I hope the series gets weirder and weirder from now on. I can’t believe I’m gonna say this but thank you GMMTV for green-lighting this risky and experimental project for us surrealism girlies 🥺
I told you all to be patient, and this episode just proved me right. It was so satisfying to finally see the real reason they directed the first episode that way. Everything felt so out of place in the pilot, and now it is all making sense.
There is one scene where Tankhun puts together Botpleng's 'personalities' around his photo, and when it said 'multiple personalities', I literally screamed out loud because that is exactly what we have been thinking for the past few weeks lol. Also, did you all notice Botpleng's expression when he tried to force the door open? It is almost the same expression he had when he tried to intimidate Dao. It could still be a red herring though, especially with that CCTV footage of someone who seemed to deliberately want to hurt him.
Some people think Tankhun's reason for replacing Tanphob was a bit shaky, and I kind of agree. But I am sure there is more to it. I do not believe that was his only motivation to fool Botpleng into thinking he was his first love. There is still A LOT we do not know about these two characters, and I am more than willing to patiently wait for the story to unravel itself.
As a fan of mystery and surrealistic direction, this feels like a full course meal to me. Everything went exactly the way I wanted it to. What people seem to miss is that this story is not just a crime story, but also psychological and a thriller. They hired criminologists and psychiatrists for a reason. I honestly think some of you need to watch more television because this is how series like this are usually directed. Even all those 'expressionless' acting people hated so much, I actually enjoyed it, and it fits the series perfectly. Naturalistic acting is so overrated and over-normalized.
This is just my opinion but The Sign worked because they didn't try to super feminized Babe there but here it's the opposite lol Babe is miscast in the role of Kaewta

It was a dream scene and Tankhun dissolving into nothing was more bizzare than Botpleng's expression. There are so many weird things in the opening scenes it was intentional.
Anyone notice how the cinematography in Botpleng's house is so dark compared to the other settings where they are well lit and almost dreamy (like the title of Book's OST Dark and Light)
Also when will they release the OST on streaming platforms lol it has been stuck in my head for days now. I really love the strings and the Canon in D sample 😭
Seeing everything that’s happening with Botpleng so far I wouldn't be surprised if it's all happening because of his mental state 😂 especially with how they introduced all the characters in episode 1. I think they stored so much clues in the opening scenes.

I suggest you drop the series now because I don't think episode 3 is gonna hook you up at this point either, we will probably get the answers around episode 7 😂 The rest of us are gonna have so much fun piecing together all the clues and be mindblown by then!

Commercial success doesn't equate directing quality. I think Me and Thee was stupid and a bunch of nothing. It's just New's series with prettier production design.
People who keep complaining about how confusing the story is... are we even watching the same series? Because it’s actually pretty much straightforward, especially episode 2, and I never had trouble interpreting it. This is a mystery series so they are NOT gonna tell you everything in the first two episodes. This isn’t a series that spoon-feeds you everything and then tells you how to react. You’re supposed to THINK through the possibilities. Maybe some of you just don’t have the capacity to digest this series tbh 😭
