A wholesome start
It's been a while since the last time I watch cdrama and this was a fine start! NyahahahI thought it has a typical plot of love triangle but NAUR. Actually, there's no really a love triangle here (that serious). It was good different angle that the bodies which have switched not become romantically involve but become good friends! Well, I think the guy soul had a crush on her at the end. But I like that the girl stays in love with the guy that was introduced from the start to be her lover. I Like the consistency! (and I'm blushing whenever the girl in the man's body have a moments with the man she loves hihi). It's so win win here! No second character to pity!
I also like that they mix some serious consequences here. Like they not playing or something because they killed some unexpected character that they actually killed. Well I guess, it taught us that nothing's permanent or so.
Ghad. Overall, this series is a wholesome for me! Light, good acting and other angle plot!

My first modern cdrama
For almost 4 months of being hooked to cdrama, my rule consists of watching historical drama-- for now. But when I finally remembered how I like to watch this drama due to some YT clips, I didn't hesitate to break the sigma ahahaha and try some modern drama. AND IT WAS WORTH IT!It was rare to have a plot like this. It's like a craving that sometimes I want to see and this drama satisfied it greatly. What was great about this was the unexpected message it brought. I was here to see FL's development yet this story succeeded in putting trivial but necessary attention to gender discrimination in the workplace and how, not only women but also another gender, are mistreated by any damn means.
I like FL's behavior. I admit that I got annoyed during their bickering season but I realized that it was her maternal instinct to be protective and defensive. It may not be similar to my family situation but I guess, this made me realize why my mother towards my biological father was kinda of odd and much more defensive than her usual attitude Anyways, I like how FL stands on her own even when they are together. She was brave and decisive indeed!
ML was great for letting FL and supporting her. They both have strengths, weaknesses, and talents they don't need to be dependent on each other but the relationship makes them strong and formidable. I never sense inequality in their rs. Like they both have a strong hold on their relationship-- not in dominance but in a fluffy and nice ambiance.
The 2nd character didn't seem to be a 2nd at all (thank g!) I like that he got his own happiness not at the end but same timeframe as MC pursued their rs. That's lit and a win-win!
Actually, this story depicts three relationships and I kinda like the diversity they give.
Overall, this was nice and a must-watch! Don't hesitate and love it the way you like to spend your time on something precious.

PLOT WELL DONE, Fell deeply to FL's demeanor!
It was supposed to be my hangover series after I watched some series that left an unfinished feeling in my heart but WHAT THE FUDGE! I was tricked when they said that I wouldn't feel angst. Because it agitated me more than thrice. But oh well. That was just the process and not the ending! Maybe we have a different meaning of 'no angst'. Lucky I was tricked because... This is a rare gem I've been looking for! The plot was aligned with my taste. I liked how they put struggles and unspoken dilemmas that I rarely see in historical drama (especially since I started watching Chinese historical drama). I want to put more emphasis on its plot but you must watch it and see/analyze it for yourself! The FL was the best! This might be one of the ideal FLs I ever want to convey. Her tactics and foresight. Her captivating wit and mind. Her attitude and formidable personality. Ghad, plus her temper. They did a great job of staying true. I guess living like a man gives her a way to be more transparent about her feelings that's why even with her demeanor as an emperor, she still has an eccentric side. Something I wished to see was for her wife to know her identity but unfortunately, she did not but it's okay. I still like that she lived her life with moments with her sworn sisters.
ML is good too. He might have a problem loving his "handsomeness". But he let go twist and turns without causing broad misunderstanding and idiocy hehe. Which was the best especially when they worked together (FL and ML duo for solving things were the best!). This dude portrays balance! (Let me know if you guess what I mean!) One thing that I really like about his character is that he had a good relationship with the 2nd character at the end (because I'm that guy who always rooting for the 2nd character hehe). That was a great scene there!
Speaking of the second character, I really like the FL for being straightforward to him. I salute her for that and I salute the 2nd character for respecting that. Ghad, this series was getting more praise than I anticipated!
And the villain. This was awesome. Some changes, and some get worse. But there are no lapses in their character that make you question why they become like that. I admit that the last one was extreme and the more (in reality check) complex among them. The scene with the FL at the end was very powerful indeed. However, I can't let go of that sexual assault (okay attempt!) to the Princess. Did that guy get killed? He MUST.
Overall, the plot leaves a great impact on equality that reflects FL's ambition. I really like couples like this who help each other to reach each other's ambition by choosing NOT to give a damn to dilemmas that break them apart. Choosing to be with your loved ones would never be selfish even if they persuade that it is. There's nothing more hypocritical than thinking that sacrificing one's self could save her/him. It's b****** (read the post-credit!)

interesting plot
I gotta say how creative the scriptwriter was for writing such a nice FL! This is just your typical story with a sprinkle of a nice plot but I enjoyed this a lot! The ending makes me crave for s2 though nahahaha.I dunno if this was me or nah... sometimes, FL's character is not consistent. I mean her role is something unrestrained and all but some scene depicts her shyness which is out of her character. But I guess, I shouldn't judge the way they want to portray her.
ML was nice too. Gotta approve with a green flag how awesome he accepted the consequences and still holds on strongly! And ahaha it was entertaining when he teased FL about her identity nyaaha. Like that!
Lazy to search but the MC here is quite familiar. Like I've seen them before. Or I'm foreshadowing their future success? Chr.
Overall, must be watched when you just want to spend your 3 hours with something light and nice nice story.

It has soul on it's own
Kiddos to FL, I like how she portrays the two characters well. This is my first time encountering an ML with a mischievous attitude and nyahaha.I dunno what's missing. It has a good plot and all. Yes, it is interesting but I think.... how they deliver and weave the story was kinda makes it lack of something. Some scenes are out of context and sometimes, things happen so fast that the essence becomes trivial (the start and end of it specifically).
Overall, this was good. They depict topics that are rarely seen especially in this kind of setting. Maybe this is me expecting some improvement and how they deliver it (I'm not pertaining about the actors, the storyline itself tells me that there's still room for improvement and what-ifs to enhance it). That's why I felt they lacked something.

I rarely rewatch series and this was worth it!
rewatched after years? because clips on YT still made me laugh. And I enjoyed it more than my first watching it. It's like, I understand why it ends like that. Like, my present self loves it more than my previous. I was well wrapped for me like 100/10 than the prejudgment that I remember. Maybe because my previous self wanted the queen to stay to be Jang So Yong. Because like my question before, did the King notice the changes in the Queen's behavior after he left? What is his feeling about it? But now, I want to know it not because I'm intrigued by their real feelings but, because I'm curious about how well-rounded their connection and bond. But having my current perception, I'm really not mad about it. It was actually concluded nicely and thumbs up!I especially enjoyed side character moments more than my first experience nyahaha. Especially Court Lay Choi and the royal chef and how they have a connection because they are both stressed out by Queen Nyahaha. And the friendship between Byul Gam and Kim Hwan was awesome and golden. I was much more solid than if they led a path of love triangle cause of the court maid of the Queen.
Ow and one thing that I just realized now, no really a love triangle happened to Byung in, King and Queen. I mean, Byung In loves Kim So Yung. But the King loves Jang So Yong. So... can it pass that Byung In is not a second character that I always rooting for? Because men, his fate was quite tragic yet it's quite well-ended for me, and yeah, I'm mad to think like that.
I rarely rewatch series and this was worth it. I understand the story more deeply and it's still a masterpiece for me.
Overall, if I forget about this plot again, I'll definitely rewatch it again and again!

The ending that I liked!
Can't stop smiling when I finished it. It's just so satisfying! The couple was a top-notch! And I'm so grateful that the second couple wasn't ruined! thank G!
The FL was so 1000/10! With her acting and the switching was the best! I tot she was familiar, turns out, she's one of the lead at Uncanny Counters🔥. I really like her. Her baddas attitude and everything, ghad, I never tot I'm going to love her like this!
The ML has a quite good job too! When they are switching, distinguishing her and him was quite impressive. And I kinda like his character development. From being miserable to someone who got guts. Like it!
What I like about this series is no love triangle or second character (ghad, that's rare and love it!). I love the brotherhood that came up with this and having his own love too. The second couple here was the best also! They deserve that ending!
Lezzgo with the villain. At first, kinda meh because I'm not into laid back villain. But as the time goes by, his madness was kinda grow into me. Tho, I'm not really convince of his reason and fb, but I get it. It's just—its his fault anyway and he's just projecting it of lacking power etc. But I kinda say that he was kinda distinguisable villain for me. A depiction of a true monster that grew from being something should've not been triggered.
Honorable mention to FL's family, that's a legit fondness and I like it. I'm sad with her auntie and hope for her happiness. I appreciate what she done to FL and her dedication to protect her at all cost. The Eunuch and guard of Crown Prince was solid too. Gosh, love the cast of this series!
This is one of the best series I have ever seen! It dethroned Mr. Queen on my list. BUT don't get me wrong, they are NOT similar (so probably still love these two hihi). More like this was the series that satisfy me in every angle that I always wish for Mr. Queen to happen (You'll know if you're also fan of that series and then watch this).
Overall, it was a nice series and probably rewatch it!
EDIT!
SO, I skimmed the reviews and all I've seen was that it was weird confusing, etc.
In my perspective, it wasn't. I understand what the writers meant with the body switching and it's importance to the plot. You'll see that the FL always get harmed— well in almost all series you've seen especially in historical/fictional series, whether she's a baddass and can handle herself (which is in this seres) or some nice and damsel.
Having the ML get switch at her place gives a development on his character as the series passed by (and kinda vice versa). And experiencing those things was like putting his shoe on her pov and realizing what it was like being with him meant for her.
So, yeah, watch it and ride the weirdness because it was nice! You'll like it. I know it🔥

Season 2 Please!
Why no one talks about this? This is another hidden gem! I like the FL very much. She portrays being a male very well. Like I was stunned when she turned back to girl clothes. Her acting was superb! This is a series that I wanted more! long version! No waste, all eps were good! This hooked me so well.
The FL is 🫶. I like her antics, her personality, and it's rare now to find a MC with normal status or have a mundane life. I really like carefree and knows how to fight MC and this FL went to my top list!
ML was good a balance too. I like his sincerity and how he didn't prevent the FL to things tha she wanted that he even went to her tripings nyahahha and his smile!
And I like their dynamics! I like how they can both fight, standing beside each other. The scene vs villain was the best! The equality wasn't really emphasize here but it subtle in the context. Like the FL can fight along with the ML and that's cool. Plus their personality that can be fluff in each other. Combing those two are rare given that most of the series with strong FL needs to be tough and stern, scheming or dense personality. I just like the vibe between the couple. The fluff and strength that they brought. A POWERHOUSE!
The villain here is good too. Their cinematography makes it happened and even without dragging flashbacks and side stories, the villain was convincing enough that wrap it up.
Ghad, where's the S2? I badly want it. I just like the story that really tells a story. Love it! it's like it hypnotized me because I damnly love the concept and storyline of this!

The best no angsty series ever!
I like this series because it gives me a break at my real shits that needs to be done. And I love that it doesn't end with angsty and it just give me some comfort zone. Love how they understand each other and they really stick with the title with that bang plot twist at the end! It's kinda have basic foundation about the fall out of marriage but SHEEZ! They executed the story until the end very well! I love the funny scenes, the of their understanding, the cutesy jealousy ahahah, and more!
I laughed at their timing comedic skit and its not cringe as they perform like real-real. I cried because of some touchy scene and boy! Some scene were convincing that I cried but turns out to be well at the end huhu. That's how good they are at bringing the watchers into the plot!
I love Huna and Xu Yu friendship! The brother bond of the monarch and his brother. The queen mother was one of the best too! I want to see more loving, caring, and such character like her that develop throughout the series! Speaking of change, the concubines also love love! I love how they portray Lady Pei and let the watchers understands her even with the starting bitchy attitude. I kinda grow to love her. ONE OF THE BEST CHARACTERISTICS OF THIS SERIES WAS THEY ALWAYS MAKES THE CHARACTERS SHINES THEIR COMPLEX PERSONALITY. Allowing them to be annoying but then let them see the flaws and goodness. I also wanted to mention this because only few could see but I love how the son of that villain did not fall to despair and collide with his father. I love how they did not ruin his character and stick with their childhood friendship even tho he doesn't have that huge role. I just hated when they ruin a love sided character (like men, have pity already. He/She was the one sided love that you need for your plot! Don't need to make him/her suffer more!) hence I love this series even more for not doing that.
Jiang Tiang was the best side character here hehe.
If you want some cozy series and just wanted to have a break from the hassle of life, watch this! You're gonna love it!

Plot was muah!
I'm on fire babyyyy! Found wholesome cdrama in a row!It has a subtle, calm atmosphere that's why I hesitate to watch it at first because I'm for the mood of brute and funny MC and plot but glad I continue watching it! Don't get me wrong, this is not boring. I just misjudged it, thinking I'm not in a mood for some serious tone. But this was quite fine! Not so tragic, not so twisted, and not too comical too. So frickin' right.
I like FL here even though she's one of the kind that hard to play with (in writer's perspective) and could lead to boringness. But I guess, the director and the writer for this one knows how to extract the best in her personality so 10000/10000! ML is such a cute! And when I'm saying cute, it means, he's so fudging genius and tactical! He's a General indeed! Because of his way of thinking, this show didn't give you some misunderstanding shits at all even though they were trying to initiate. Oh boy. Love the casting and how they blend the characters so well!
The second characters did a lot of development that I anticipated. Some also shows changes but guess it's too late but hey, the thought is still counts. This is also the first time (if I remember it correctly) that the side characters have way more tragedy than the main characters. Which is RARE for any drama, isn't? GIVE ME MORE LIKE THIS PLS! Also, thumbs up for the director for removing the worry to FL and still give the Scharacter a good closure. Clap! Clap!
The plot? Got they got me there! I was suspicious at first but forgot it because I really enjoying the engagement of the MC. Until the plot was revealed that I was shook! That's a lot and satisfying last 3 eps there! Love it!
Overall, this is one of the best short cdrama I've watched. The puzzles fits perfectly that nothing's odd. I just enjoyed it!

Reality with a touch of fantasy
It's been a while since I visited this site to review. So, I came across with this kdrama while having a prime account and it was lit!To be honest, I watch it for past time at first. Stayed for comedy it brought but men! It's getting good as the eps goes by. Yes, it's a vampire thing but honestly, their theme was much more like a reality. And the plot! Gosh. It's not highly, twisted, chaotic stuff I've ever seen because this was a soft sailing vibe but this has the first bittersweet ending that I've said "that was good". I normally hate stuff like a bittersweet ending but this one didn't bother me at all.
Maybe because I like how FL become consistent even tho it's obv that there's a development in her character, or because they didn't entirely ruin the second character (which is always rooting for every drama) or the wholesome friendship of the Ml to his buddies. Either or other way, this is freakin good. I like how they incorporate the literally reality on this superstitious theme and maybe that's why I like this one.
What I really like about this one was how they sewn the Fl and Ml relationship. There's no such brickering thing and seems natural to me. No sacrifice bullshit too and not really have misunderstanding because they accept the crap and make things out of it. How they handle the rs on each side character and such was good too. You can see the greed, the bad side, the good side and everything that will remind you that no one's perfect. The best thing about this series was they didn't need to emphasize this message. It makes you realize things!
No actual villain too. The annoyance was folded "neatly" and I like how they make things out.
Ghad, maybe it didn't made to my top 3 but I guess, this one deserve to be spotted on my top 10 (which frankly I'll forget about). Love this series, really!

TEN out of TEN (why no one talks about this?)
GHAD. WHAT A WRAP! Again, I just found this on YT-- never saw the trailer or synopsis but it still hooked me! What I like about this one is the plot and how they deliver the story. Its mystery was awesome without being angsty! I know I was a fool not believing FL but they got me there! Storytelling at its finest!Revelations there and there? GHAD, I already like the people who created this!
FL was great with confidence! I like how she naturally gives the scenes a thumbs up. ML was also awesome and I might add fast to adopt given that he was locked in a cycle and FL was the only one who kept track.
OVERALL, must watch, and don't spoil yourself with these chaotic time lapses yet nice nice story. True 10/10!

hidden gem in terms of plot and lightness
Why no one talks about this?ONE OF THE KINDS OF LIGHT DRAMA I HAVE EVER SEEN. Perfect when you've been to an angsty series. I didn't expect it to be such a nice plot.
FL was indeed one of those MCs I've been hunting for. She's smart and reckless yet has an ultimate courage within her. I do love her flaw and trauma at the beginning of the series too. Her character was well developed. Even though the stories kinds divert to the MC, I can still sense that she become mature and much more courageous.
ML complements the personality of FL. He also had a great character development. I know I was dumb but I only recognized that he was the lead in General's Lady when I saw his smile. Nyahaha silly me. Anyway, I never pay attention to their names because I adore them through their skills and I watch series because of the plot, not the people on it. BTW, I like that ML doesn't really baby the FL much. Yes, he's protective yet he allowed her to grow.
And the second character. Ghad, this one was the best too. I like how they become friends through thick and thin. And how he accepted the truth yet did not change at all-- like he was always there not only to FL but to all of his friends. Talking about loyalty, this man was the best! I do hope that he'll find someone. He deserved it!
Overall, this was epic! I never knew they'd drop more villains or more plots than I anticipated. Some may think that there were scenes that were a little bit rushed but I think, for me, it's reasonable, given it put lots of what's next and what happened (even though you can guess it but still! enjoyable). Ow, and I like the OST of this series. I didn't know why I paid attention to this but the message was quite accurate in some scenes and they did the perfect job of connecting the music to the scene, giving much weight and effect to it.
Must try! This might ease your mind after a chaotic series that you've just watched.

WORTH IT-- SMOOTH SAILING
Lately, I've been dragged by the famous cdramas that made me feel plain and looking for something unique. Then I stumbled upon this short yet magnificent drama! I did not spoil myself at the end like I trusted the writer that she/he would not let me down. Glad I did! The first ep caught my attention so I continued. I laugh and cry then laugh. Even near the end, they never fail to make me laugh. The ending was satisfying and it was rare to have this fluff ending that you kind of would not wish for more. I was satisfied that they had moments together before it was ended. Well, I was looking for his brother and the doctor but ow well. This is legit worth rewatching!
It can save you after some drama that made you withdraw to much angst, sadness, or tragedy. But of course, with open arms and just enjoy the show. Because men, this series did not fail to make me laugh for a day. Made me rest for a while. And I did not feel cliche or 2nd embarrassment like the FL was born to play this one haha. This was also my first series The 2nd character did not get my attention that much Mabe because he arrived at the latter where the MC already had a fondness between them. But of course, I followed every 2nd character in any series so I kinda feel sad about his past and how he turns out. I'm not bad at the writer for making him that way. Maybe because it was justified and he turned out good in the end,.
I just realized that made the ML here a little bit too calm that the FL always shines and takes the initiative. But I did not see it throughout the show. I guess, the writer did a good job of balancing the compatibility of this couple. Now, I kinda like this kind of ML personality.
And the FL, currently this was the kind of FL I've been looking for. And I want to find an underrated series with this kind of FL!
Overall, this was nice and good. if you're looking for
Want some strong brotherly bond?
FL without grace and talk and do whatever she feels?
FL with confidence at the maximum level yet the courage made me you root for her?
ML that didn't actually have enemies to lover stage to FL instead, friend and building fondness?
MCs that did not hate guts each other yet their process is still humorous and ideal?
Kinda a unique plot base?
Smooth sail with a touch of rain?
So good ending?
Then watch this!

Well WRITTEN. Justified at its finest.
I freakin don't know why I drop this the first time I watch the first 3 eps. Because THIS WAS FREAKIN GOOD! Oh, I know. Maybe I got a hangover that time with the TROTAR or LBFAD and wasn't that hook.BUT NOW, I'M GLAD I CAME BACK! Ghad, this was well written. The first eps really messed up the stories she created to the point that almost 80% of what happened became clueless to Qing and to me. Of course, her personality was the biggest factor for humor, and the fact that she was just being herself will not make you feel cringe at all. What I like the most about her character is that she never let unresolved problems have a big effect on their relationship. Overall, I love her character throughout her journey. She made me laugh and cry. If she's a real writer, I would like to be her apprentice ahaha. Kiddos to the ones who really write this story!
And the ML. You know, making an innocent into a villain was not portrayed in many series because of how easy it is to ruin something precious. But, this plot might not be new but always interesting. Villains turn to someone who becomes aware of understanding etc. That's hella work and that's why it was interesting. The ML was so awesome in transitioning from his hatred to his love. I always repeat scenes every time he shows care and rare expressions. His ending was quite nice and justified. Love that they put that bonus scene at the scene so my heart did not settle to heaviness- not because it's painful but because of loneliness. His wish was really heart-melting and glad it was granted. I was contented that they met at the end!
Then the 2nd character. Which was supposedly the male lead to Qing's story. I usually give more attention to all 2nd characters but this time, I was more focused on someone else aside from the leads. Back to the 2nd chara, I always wonder if writers could make a story work with the same setting as this, without making the supposedly lead to be tainted or somehow bad. Yeah, I know that the lead must shine and develop. Well, I'm just wondering and maybe when I get inspiration, I'll be that writer. Jk. But oh well, even if he was tainted, that's still a character development and choices he made for himself.
Oh, I have a question about this character that I think, was not answered. How would the 2nd male chara have affection for Qing in the first eps when he supposedly fell in love with his own lead, aka 2nd female chara. I mean, it could work if he had past events with Qing that made him fell right? huhuhu I need an answer.
The person I mentioned above who caught my attention was the 2nd female character who was supposedly the FL in Qing's story. I like how she becomes consistent throughout the series. She has been in love with the crown prince ever since and plus, they had a happy ending at the end! She deserves it. I kinda feel bad about how unfair it was to her throughout the series, then atlast, at the end... They got a nice ending that she deserved. Nyahaha I remember the flaw that Qing put in her character. She was like Zoro in cdrama ahahahah.
Then the villain. Family is a blessing and sometimes a burden. If you don't agree. Then don't! I'll cite some samples that really become the center of chaos in this story. First, the 2nd Female character. She was fine and nice until she was found by her family. Which not only restrained her freedom but gave up her job as coroner. She kinda sacrifices things she had throughout her life just because she found her family. Next was the revenge for the Su Family. The flashbacks tell that they let Qi revenge for their death-- which kinda made me feel disappointed that they drove him to that instead of wishing to live and let go. Which become the biggest factor in his rs. Then the tragedy of Princes. Frankly, I feel bad for them. The rotten minds of their parents become their food and poison. Suck up all "it's for your best". pwe. That phrase becomes a lie when a parent never tries to understand the mental and emotional health of their kids. I always disagree with the phrase that the Karma was always bestowed to their child or the sin of the parents will be passed down to children. That's the most unreasonable thing I ever heard. Look what happened to their children. Who suffers the most now? Are they happy seeing their children suffer because of what they did assuming they did the best for them? I was not pissed off by the villain. Actually, I choose not to feel the angst about her behavior and choices. I chose not to allow her to tap my emotions because I knew that her greediness would backfire on her and the worst of it was her children shielded her blindly. Which she would never deserve.
And the 3rd couple. Ghad! Maybe the first two were justified and have satisfaction. But Qi and Xi Yao? That last part was super unexpected and depressing. They deserve to be happy too huhuhu. This also put gasoline to the fire for what I was talking about in the last paragraph. Heck, debt that child will pay. Like what the fudge. The wrap-up of the story becomes sad because of this part. I have high hopes that they also have a reunion at the modern but oh well. I'm not always into open endings but I hope they had other lives and they live on their happiest moments.
Special mentioned to Prince Feng and his supposed bride. Throughout the series, I kinda hoping that Qing will rewrite the story and bring back this couple. I was imagining what would happen if they developed. But I guess, Qing was satisfied with the ending so am I.
Overall, this was a wrap! The progress of leads was never boring and even though the relationship started in the middle, it did not feel like it! Especially there's a lot of happening at the first part. I like how to balance the peace and chaos in this series. They allow the characters to have peaceful moments and to enjoy and have memories with each other. Even though this was categorized as romcom, I was astonished that it has a shade of dark theme, not a shallow plot and it did not feel cringe at any comical scene they had. Maybe because the humor in this series was more on to Qing's personality which became natural, funny, and adorable.
