To those saying Jiang Mu's school scenes aren’t important, are you really Yu Shuxin and Jiang Mu fans? Are you really thinking from Jiang Mu’s point of view? Do you really care about and respect Jiang Mu as a character?
I hope people can judge this fairly by themselves and not be influenced by false narratives from others. Because true fans of the novel and Jiang Mu would never belittle Jiang Mu like that by saying her school scenes are unimportant.
Jiang Mu has so much potential as a character. She is more than just a lover for somebody. Jiang Mu is not a love-struck girl who went abroad just to chase after a guy & ignored her own mother. The real Jiang Mu i knew also has her own story with her mother, father, new stepmother & stepsister, new stepfather, friends, people in her environment, coworkers, etc. She struggles & fight for her grades, dreams, aspirations, friendships, family, and love.
I hope people will appreciate and care more about Jiang Mu as a character. Please try to understand SAL from Jiang Mu’s point of view too.
