Finally, someone who doesn’t put all the blame on one side. In FL’s defense (since people have already talked a lot about ML's side), I can understand DZT. She was never really interested in love, but GY found a way into her heart. She genuinely opened up and did things for him too. When he broke up with her, she gave him a chance to explain—but he didn’t. No wonder she felt betrayed. Imagine realizing that the boyfriend who always seemed to love you so much did this to you. How would you feel?

How did they reconcile in the novel?

As much as I love the series, Bai Jie is the absolute worst when it comes to noble idiocy. Reviving her against her will, only for her to suffer as both Hou Chi and Shanggu—it’s not a sacrifice, it’s selfishness. I just wish Qingmu and Hou Chi could have had their own happy ending.

I don't think there's anything wrong with her choosing her own future.

FL actually opened up a lot more than I expected. I'm surprised that MLkeep things from her.

So far I really love the 2nd couple, both their characters and their story.
