S Korea, I think I found the solution to your population problem - men who treat women better and laws that will make men treat women better. If your men are as crazy and mean to women as this psycho who is protected by societal norms oppressive to women, women would not not feel it worthwhile leaving their jobs for home life, even just for a few weeks.

What @Kayceluvdrama said is true. I've witnessed this behavior in other LMH dramas. In fact, I got disgusted with kdramas because of unwarranted attacks on The King Eternal Monarch. I switched to cdramas after that and just watch 1 or 2 kdramas a year nowadays
Before I thought people need time to get used to plot of drama. But slowly realised they purposely come here to…
Same. When I hear ‘kdrama’ I get disgusted. It’s such a toxic world. I just watch Lee Min Ho’s dramas as he has been the worst victim of that toxicity, that is, not on the side of haters
Cool! Another drama with Lee Min Ho! I’m currently enjoying When The Stars Gossip. I love how he chooses dramas with unique stories, instead of making the same type of dramas over and over👍
Is it just me but these people seem like Lee Min Ho haters? It feels like they have problems with Lee Min Ho and…
It’s not just you. There’s a heavy anti-LeeMinHo bias in this site. It made me disgusted with the kdrama world, actually, and got me into cdramas. He has been making high quality dramas recently (The King Eternal Monarch, Pachinko) that accounts here dismiss without even giving them a chance. Like TKEM and Pachinko, this drama also has a unique story, that is, not like the usual kdramas. I find his shows refreshing, but maybe kdrama audience just wants to watch the same stories over and over
I know right? Didn’t we all just watch Legend of Shen Li which had a ginormous age gap? I don’t remember anyone…
The issue is showing one of the couple as a child while the other is a grown-up. It doesn't matter whether the older one is male or female. It's the child against the grown-up situation that smacks of p*dophilia. Same with Anakin and Padme Amidala in Star Wars, there is a yuk feeling there; one reason why the first 3 movies of Star Wars are my least favorite in the franchise.
Those who live in a society where p*dophilia is criminal can't help having this feeling. But I've noticed that…
This is why I'm asking those who have read the source material and know the story fully. I want to find out if the ML turns out to be an old spirit so I can judge whether it is worth watching for me. I don't want to spend for an iQiyi subscription and 30+ hours of my time on a drama that I would find distasteful. I did the same thing with Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms and Love Between Fairy and Devil. I read comments/reviews on mdl, imdb, twitter to have more idea about the story before watching it. I also asked the same question.
Bai Qian was 90,000 years older than Ye Hua. When she was living life and ascending, Yue Hua was still a lotus…
When Ye Hua first met Bai Qian, he didn't know yet that his spirit is Mo Yuan's twin, Jin Lian. He only found out about it much later, I think in the last episode. But even before Ye Hua found out about Jin Lian, the audience already knew because Jin Lian's spirit was shown entering the stomach of Ye Hua's mother when she and her husband visited Kunlun. And when Ye Hua was with Su Su in the mountains, he remembers seeing her back while running away from him. It was the same memory Jin Lian had of Si Yin while he was a lotus in Kunlun.

The issue is showing the ml as a boy, played by an underaged actor, while the fl is fully grown. In Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, first time Ye Hua and Bai Qian meet, he is already in adult form. And he turns out to be a reincarnation of an old spirit. Same in Love Between Fairy and Devil. Orchid is in adult form from the very beginning and she turns out to be a reincarnation of an old spirit.
If you don't find anything yucky seeing an underaged character with an adult character, it's your prerogative. But I hope writers avoid this type of storytelling as it encourages p*dophilia.
By the way, I hate murders, wars and any other type of violence and hope the entertainment industry stops glamorizing them.

Goodness, no need to be testy. I just want to know if this is worth watching. I didn't like the age gap in Star Wars 1 either, thus never warmed up to the story of Anakin and Padme Amidala. Showing one character to be a child while the other is a grown-up smacks of p*dophilia.
As I have said, in the Xianxia dramas I like where there are thousands of years age gap between leads, the age gap is resolved by having the younger character turn out to be the reincarnation of an old spirit. Moreover, the younger character is shown fully grown from the very beginning, like Ye Hua and Orchid, not played by child actors.
I've read that the male lead in FSMRMP is half spirit. Does he turn out to be the reincarnation of an old spirit as well?
The issue I see many ppl getting has nothing to do with the age gap itself, at least for me since ik age gap is…
@Dreamy you're right. Writers who have seen how unpopular the story of Anakin and Amidala in Star Wars 1 is, compared to the rest of the Star Wars franchise, should have been warned about this kind of storytelling. Showing one of the characters as underaged while the other is fully grown is simply yucky.
I can’t believe how y’all talk about age gaps in xianxia 🤡 that is hilarious
Those who live in a society where p*dophilia is criminal can't help having this feeling. But I've noticed that even in Xianxia, or at least my favorite Xianxia dramas, age gaps are resolved in the end. For example, in Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, Ye Hua is actually the reincarnation of Mo Yuan's brother. In Love Between Fairy and Devil, Orchid is the reincarnation of the Goddess of Xishan. Is something similar going to happen in this drama?
Like many of those who have commented, I'm kind of grossed out by the age gap of the main couple. May I ask those who know the story, is this like Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms or Love Between Fairy and Devil where the younger character turns out to be a reincarnation of an old spirit thus making the age gap non-existent? I'm trying to find out if this is worth watching.
