Because when you are public celebrities you should be more conscious than normal couple, because everyone watches you. And instead of filing divorce prior to her then informing media then stating statements earlier was not good. (Some will say that she already knew etc etc.)

One of my korean friend said that, there are few points which netizen felt after some time
1) SHK is really questioned for everything after divorce eg her previous breakups ( and with LBH he kinda cheated on her + which may be true bcz he had some sccandal after marriage too) (and with hyun bin it was mutual because they both were big stars and they didnt had time) whereas those male costar also dated many girls just because they have been settled down it doesn't mean they havnt dated so why targeting SHK on this
2) he always had girl crush on her and may be they both face compatibility issues after fading of honeymoon phase, so its fine to get divorce instead of living unhappy married life.
But the way he filled for divorce leave a bad taste in mouth, like if it was really mutual they both should have post announcement together instead of playing safe.
