Wow, the acting from every one in this latest episode is so good especially from the FL I felt sorry for the character, so she has this painful part of her life, imagine being repeatedly told that you can’t lose, that you must always win, as if losing were a taboo. And whenever she shows weakness or fails, she’s locked up in a dark, cold space for punishment by her own mother. No wonder she turned out the way she is.
Now, after 19 long episodes, the director and scriptwriter finally decided to show us her struggles. How are we supposed to understand the character’s actions from the beginning if her background story wasn’t revealed earlier? It would’ve been so much better if they had shown glimpses of this side of her little by little in each episode that way, viewers could truly understand her.It’s just disappointing how female leads are written these days. Maybe it’s poor scriptwriting, or maybe they just choose to ignore such important aspects of their characters. I’ve noticed this pattern in a lot of dramas lately, hopefully, they’ll start doing better.
I just finished watching a scene from Love in the Cloud where the male and female leads enter an illusion to uncover the truth about another character. They had to experience the illusion by taking on the roles of that character’s past, going through their memories to understand what really happened.
That reminds me of JZ and CD’s storyline, the Qin Yi and Cang Hao part, could it also be same scenario where it could be that they entered an illusion to discover the truth, representing themselves as those characters to experience what they went through and uncover the hidden past?.😊
