I feel like Cdramas put a lot of thought into emotions and selling the essence of the story with good camera work.

Cdramas are more about hitting the feels whereas kdramas spend almost their entire time (and entire budget) into selling the romance.

Though kdramas do their job pretty well, I feel like Cdramas focus more on the plot and that also contributes to the romance very nicely

In terms of epilogues I very much liked 18 again because it tied up all its loose ends pretty well. In terms of cinematography I have to say my favourites are Sound of Magic and Alchemy of Souls, the directors really knew what they were capturing with their cameras.

I have a beef to pick with CLOY because of the pain it caused me with (ykw)'s death and so, though it isn't my favourite, although i do love it dearly and have rewatched it twice

I don't think kdrama would be able to capture the essence of the story as much as this cdrama has.

No hate to kdramas but the cinematography and attention to detail with this cdrama and the many references to the original novel are what is making this drama the success that it is, and kdramas have a history of overlooking these tiny bit significant details

Oh ,I know right. I love that. I love how much attention they paid to the detail, and how many easter eggs there are from the novel, cuz, I act reread the novel just a couple days back and I love her director used so many dialogues from the original novel

The subtle detail of the clock and shuangjiang waiting for it to be 3 am because that is the time her uncle and aunt used to come back in the novel

Honestly. His character in the novel was much cuter, just a pretty boy with a cute lil crush, and he respected yifan jie a lot more
