10 episodes in and so far it's the one of the most interesting wuxia drama's that I've seen yet. I LOVE THISS, finally a good drama that is not even a second boring or giving us repeated second-hand embarrassment.

The fact that Zhenyu didn't even do his research and just took in the 2 kids, assuming they're the ones who he needs to find is crazy. Never once has he doubt if he got the wrong children, untill Fanyue and Baishou came in? Lol. I guess 40 episodes isn't enough to develop that much investigating.

I hope this drama isn't the same as Moonlight Mystique, UNFORTUNATELY, I have to say it right here and there. The filmers are absolutely garbage at capturing good angles of the mcs, and they're most absolutely horrible at their jobs. Not even that, the script given to Bailu in that drama is so garbage, I know character development is a thing but I'm not gonna even describe her PERSONA, lets talk about the acting script. Why the flake do the producers not give her a better script, the drama is like a joke atp, they're not even tryna hide it fr. Shoutout to the trailer, convinced us with good scenes in the drama just for us to realize that the characters are like rocks who can't act surprised. It's not bailu's fault, I'm venting my anger on the producers of that drama. She doesn't deserve this low quality drama that looks low budget even though it's so flippin high budget. IF ONLY THEY COULD CHANGE THE FILMERS AND EDITORS, I'm hoping the producers, editors, filmers of Moonlight Mystique isn't the same as this please. Because if they are, I'll have to start suing them and throwing hands on them on behalf of Bailu. This is injustice, she deserves better 😭 this is risking her actress star rank which I doubt will fall off but it's humiliating Bailu bruh, THE POOR PRODUCTION TEAM NEEDS TO RETIRE ASAP RN.

agree but I don't think you should drop it yet. The storyline might be good although the scripts not very well written, maybe stay and see how the story goes? I personally don't mind if the cgi, sfx and effects are bad. It's not lulu fault after all, I stay for her, the story and plot and I think you should too.

I want to enjoy this drama because of Bailu and ARP, but I freaking hate the director and whoever who was in charge of editing the scenes of the drama. I'm still gonna enjoy watching the entire drama but with deep hatred for the freaking editors. Why is the CGI so garbage, Bailu deserves sm better.. the setting for the drama has sm potential but the people who filmed the scenes of Bailu with random angles should get fired, it feels like I'm watching a low budget mini historical movie, IM SO PISSED OMD. Now her haters are gonna criticize her because of this, GOD can the producers get any better? I've never in life get so annoyed, the script given to her is literally also something that needs to be burned to crisp, they made her act like a person who only replies to only one of your texts when you sent 5 (iykwim idk how to describe, but yk those friends that you have that ill only reply to one of your messages when you sent a bunch, yeah those type of people, super annoying imo) also, her reactions aren't even there when her childhood friend suddenly appears BECAUSE OF THE FREAKING SCRIPT, they disallowed her to act surprised and to emphasize on that part numerous times (because reacting isn't written in the script). I'm so disappointed in the producers, filmers and editors, the potential went from 100% to 50%, seriously pissed and hope Bailu can make her own decisions, instead of her company controlling her to cast into a crappy low budget drama.

I kept crying until ep 5 ;P normally I wouldn't cry over a mc family member's death but the father's acting made me tear up so badly. The part where he wanted to destroy that grass seed thing, "That is my daughter!" bro, when I tell you I wanted to bawl my eyes out. I've never cried over a episode this early ever omd

Heres my opinion:

I think the story is good, it's unique, not like every slow burn romance where the main characters kiss only after 30 episodes. A lot of people liked Blossom, which I do as well, but one problem with Blossom is that it's like every other historical drama. Maybe I worded it wrong, but Blossom is like eating bread with strawberry jam, you like it at first but when eaten often it's boring. The last few episodes fell short imo and just made me drop it there cause it was just like every historical romance c drama, where the couples get married and they get a happy life. Viewers prefer this type of show because there isn't much angst going on and the mcs are perfect, they're strong and capable of defending themselves, needless to people who are out of our league, and we don't see that often in our lives. However, Moonlight Mystique is another story perhaps. It's setting is kinda draggy and that's because they want to focus on an angsty story, where problems don't get resolved fast for the sake of the theme. Also as for your questions, FL is forced to hang around with ML for now because she wants REVENGE and practically has no powers and no training whatsoever to fulfil her goal. All she has is the freaking stone in her body which is useless because she doesn't even have powers so it can't give her any benefits except for protecting her life. ML is also forced to take FL in because he needs the damn stone to become a immortal and get more powerful, I mean after all she literally took the stone from him and he was already dedicating so much to awaken the stone. So in conclusion, they don't like each other at all, they don't need to love each other to be able to be 'friends', things happen and they're just forced to stand side by side with each other. Also, yeah I agree with you that the FL is tiny bit annoying but I wouldn't say she is stupid, I guess she was raised as a stubborn and carefree girl, thinking the world is just a fairytale. Thus, her attitude. But let's be fr who doesn't want to live a happy life and stay alive forever, to be able to be better than everyone (and also repaying that white haired dude, but how she gon do that if hes literally trapped in that thing idk whats it called but she do her ig).

SO IN FINALL CONCLUSIONNN, the story is just not for you because you prefer fluffier romance dramas and perfect couples who aren't a slight bit annoying to you. I respect that, but don't leave a bad review just because a drama is not for you.. it's like hating on war because it's cruel and all, but still watching war movies then deciding to give it a bad rating because it's war themed and triggers you. If it's not for you, you don't like this typa genre stuff you can simply stop watching after realizing how the drama's gonna be, no need for ratings when you already don't like the setting of the drama. Hope this don't come off as rude, but different ppl have different opinions, if you don't like a drama because it's not how you want the characters to act and disliking how the story's speed is going then it might just be a you problem. It's like you wanting to watch a drama but based ENTIRELY on you preferences, basically hating on a guy because his personality is not how you want it to be lol.

I'm surr excited for this new drama omd, been a fan since SOKP and their chemistry behind the scenes were so top notch. Literally can't wait till this drama releases AHH

Honestly I think it’s a 50/50, because all she says is she doesn’t remember the ending and some parts of the novel but she doesn’t accurately point out she’s forgetting her task 🧐

Also… why was the confession by Liu Fu Yi on ep 19 feel like it came out from a mini movie? Mu Yao reaction was also so bland… like what is this.. (disclaimer, I love their characters and acting but that scene was just so underwhelming that I’m confused myself 🥲)
