Sorry to say but Asian culture is very different( if they not Affected or influenced by western cultures ) . As asian, it's really difficult to hug or just kissing in public, even in home eventho they are couple. My mom & my dad from child until now, i never saw them hugging or kissing( even in the cheeks ) because they too private and they didn't like when others saw it ( even your main family ). But yeah it just drama, Japanese drama type is kind like that, not spicy like Thailand nor Taiwan that have sex scene, even their butts is see through on screen
