I'm back into watching ongoing Cdramas because of The Story of Pearl Girl and now this will be released very soon so I think I'm in my Cdramas era again
currently watching it and I must say this is worth the wait. this is not our typical sweet cute BL, the type of vibes I get when I watch GAGAOOLALA's short films and movies
this brings back so many memories, I remember being so attached to Go Ahead, now watching this Korean version I'm having flashbacks of Go Ahead and I'm starting to remember the details again π
I knew this one when I saw a clip on Facebook then I started watching. This gave me small heart attacks π but honestly this one is a rollercoaster of emotions, one time you'll laugh the next time you'll get a little scared (or maybe I easily get scared), then you'll tear up, then you'll laugh again
after the airing of Zheng shunxi's A Lonely Hero's journey, I stopped watching Cdramas, now I'm back and I'm watching the same genre, I don't know why I torture myself with republican series I know this is gonna make me cry
The series was far from our typical storyline. It's slow burn and it focuses more on emotions which requires viewers' close-attentive watch. One's understanding of the series shouldn't be shallow or you will find it boring. I literally stopped visiting comments and reviews about the series in the 7th episode because I wanted to focus on my take and as expected from Chinese coming of age series, it gave me what I needed. The slice of life (the ending was really nice especially the closing words). I'm even fine without a season 2 and leave everything to my imagination ('cause I haven't read the novel so yeah). But season 2 ain't a bad idea either 'cause I want to see the continuation of their story.
Finally finished watching and I can't explain my attachment to the series what I did was just cry and then now I feel better.
I recently lost interest in watching series (all series). I was actually worried I might not find this as interesting as it was when I was closely following every released eps but I was wrong. I still feel so attached and I didn't feel bored when I finally decided to finish this. This series is something and I hope s2 will not fail me.
On EP 11 when Sheng Wang had flashbacks of his kiss with JiangTian back on EP 2 I suddenly realized there's so much that happened and everything was not rushed but there's this significant growth and character development. I love it.
after this series ends I'd go back to my typical week without something to look forward. I hope more series that suits my taste will be released, quality series and actors with good chemistry pleaseeee π
the way they're suppressing their feelings on EP 6 is suffocating but at the same time I understand why they're doing that. kudos, they've conveyed the emotions and feelings so well
maybe I love the chemistry of the leads that's why I'm enjoying this so much but I really am savoring every second of the series, I won't dare skip a scene. Slow burn series hits different that's for sure.
Dislike this show however you want, theres over 2k comments here and that tells me you guys still pay attention…
exactly! looks like they're not used to Chinese coming of youth series set up, they put a lot of emphasis on the importance of high school life especially that they're focused on gaokao so we're basically watching a very natural set up in Taiwan/China, I'm also getting tired with how shallow their reason can get when complaining. while those who comment on technical stuffs like the lighting etc are acceptable but the other things are really getting on my nerves
I told myself not to read the comments but here I am stressing over your complaints and feeling the urge to rebutt π anyway to those who like the series TOMORROW IS D-DAY for EP 5 let's goo!! to those who don't I'm waiting for your own published novel or maybe self produced films applying all your complaints to it and make a masterpiece. lovelots
this is the type of series which doesn't need intense dramatic scenes or violence or thrill to spice it up. I never found this boring (even tho the subs sucks luckily I can understand a bit of mandarin). It's heartwarming and at the same time very emotional. Those simple scene which made me cry was just so beautiful and precious. I needed this type of series, not OA, the comedy is there and at the same time the slice of life.
