He must take male centered drama roles, he is acting in the female centered ones...
but before these war eps aired, ppl already call zou yue a bad screenwriter, well if u go to chinese forums, many ppl are critizising the way she write the fl's character, cutting away all her solo moments in novel, and even accusing her as miso bcs some lines she used to highlight the ml, now the ml's side also did the same, imo this is only good bcs the source material is good, but the changes she made is just..

We finally get the rare good battle scenes for an FL. Why is it a problem that the ML only shines in love so far?…
some ppl can think it's a bad writing.. don't pivot it to linghe he's been getting so much flak already

People are saying this is the same as the novel. Even though I’m also not too happy about the sidelined Marquis,…
In the novel they killed off changxin together, changyu was abt to perish, it was a close call, if he didn't come in time she would've been dead, and the building up to it was.. he came from a very far place all while being injured, they glossed over this part

it's not abt female/male centered, the screenwriter is indeed changed the novel a lot, she glossed over his whole character, this is a bad writing, and he get hate so much for this drama and ppl has been accusing him stealing the spotlight from fl, which is obv not true at all, he got flak either way, so i get why some ppl are angry, and eventhough changyu is the protagonist from the novel, it is actually abt two powerful ppl not just one..

it feels that the screenwriter fail to give him more dimension like in the novel, adding bunch of fillers instead

Looking at the previews she should have beat him (Xie Zheng) up pretty hard after all she went through because…
i think it's not bcs of him, they addressed this too in the novel where changyu is very reluctant to kill common soldiers, it was xie zheng who noticed her softness in the battlefield (which could be very dangerous) and lectured her in the novel, but it seems in the drama they made her see the consequences of her actions herself
