I completely understand what you’re saying — and I like Li Zhi too. Being independent doesn’t mean walking alone. The FL can be strong and capable while still being with someone who openly supports, protects, and trusts her. Li Zhi never tries to overshadow her; instead, he stands beside her, helps her, and thinks ahead with her. That doesn’t take away her strength — it actually makes their partnership feel right. For me, this dynamic makes a lot of sense.

In reality, both couples are popular with the audience, each with their own fanbase. The difference is that some Li Tai fans have been causing a lot of trouble: spreading hate toward Darren Chen, attacking the female lead, and even creating false rumors about the production. They even went as far as paying for promotions just to speak badly about Darren — absolutely outrageous.
If each fan would simply support their favorite couple in a healthy and respectful way, it would be much better for the drama, the production team, and the actors. In the end, everyone benefits when the support is positive and respectful.
