No one’s expecting Downton Abbey. People just want basic consistency - decent acting, coherent writing, and direction that doesn’t feel like it was thrown together last minute. “It’s a Thai BL” isn’t an excuse for mediocrity, especially with the growing budgets and global audience. If viewers are investing time and emotions, they’re allowed to expect more than just “cute.” Fun shouldn’t come at the expense of quality.

You have the right to think a comment is crap, sure - but acting like the authority on what qualifies as valid criticism is a bit much. Not everyone needs to write an essay to explain why something doesn’t work for them. If someone says they're bored or uninterested, that is feedback -just not the kind you want. Comparing it to a kid whining about oatmeal is just condescending, and honestly, that attitude shuts down real conversation more than it encourages it.
They had the novel to follow but they said scrap it and made their own story.
