I mean I don't hate the actor but I hate Xiu Ming. He is so annoying! Like leave the couple alone! I don't know…
His acting is good if that happens. Just have to consider what place the character has in the drama.

Agree. I think the show might have done better if Esther Yu was FML. I feel so bad saying that bc i liked the…
These dramas are targeted to middle school to college age females and aired during prime time. The classical fairy type Chinese female annoys some westerners, but it appears favored by the youth of China, who buy the endorsement products.

Finally I managed to finish this :) I know, that this is unpopular opinion, but... some parts could be shorter,…
There are many shorter dramas out there that are good and are also the meet, kiss, break up, make up, marry type. Westerners who binge are not used to the the longer cdramas with the side stories and world building. I don't see impatience comments when the drama is airing, so I think the binging has an effect. I mix in different dramas and movies to avoid it.

These prime time dramas are targeted at middle to college age girls. Chemistry is created by the director, not the actors, and this director did a good job at a slow love story. Back From the Brink delivers with Neo Hou and Zhou Ye, other very fun and interesting characters, and with overall beauty, sets, moral challenges, life lessons. It has a good ending. These dramas are made quickly and I'm always amazed at the quality of the sets and the costumes. I watch for entertainment, not for self-realization, so I don't nitpick like I have seen other westerners do.
