Omg when I tell you I LAUGHED at that comment... that's hater behavior for sure.. because they literally said they skipped some parts of the show or as they put it "fast-forward through the boring scenes" which is bullsht. It honestly seems like they didn't even watch the whole thing, so how do they even know what they're talking about? How are they gonna comment on something they didn't properly watch? And i'm not exaggerating, every second of this show is important, with all the symbolism and the amazing dialogue... I agree with you, they are just so clueless and just wanting to be a hater. And that genuinely pisses me off because this show is actually so good and so important, some people just criticize it for no reason other than wanting to hate because what they're saying doesn't even make sense..Like, I was genuinely trying to understand some of the criticism at first, but at this point it's just getting ridiculous... the lack of media literacy is almost jarring..šš
I'm honestly so confused by people's expectations after the pilot. A lot of people say the show didn't live up to it, but I had the exact opposite experience. For me, it surpassed the pilot and exceeded my expectations with every episode. Each one hit harder than the last, and I genuinely think the script is beautiful. Episode 5 is my favorite because of the way the story unfolded and how the symbolism was woven into it. It was incredibly well written.
For example, Tanrak's internal conflict and being torn between two paths, watching the faith he had believed in his entire life slowly begin to crumble and seeing the impact it had on him, was portrayed beautifully. The same goes for Barth. Even though we only saw fragments of his past, those moments alone were enough to show how difficult his life had been And my Goddd, the scene where he called his old home phone, fully knowing no one would answer, just because he wanted to hear his mother's voice one more time, was incredibly heartbreaking. And the way the people around them influenced their relationship and shaped their thoughts and decisions was also handled so well. Everything was woven into the story naturally. There wasn't a single "light" moment in the series for me. In fact, Episode 5 felt emotionally overwhelming at times, like could literally feel a tightness in my chest while watching it šš« From the very beginning, there was this constant sense of tension. The show never really gave you a moment to relax, because it was dealing with such a heavy subject, and it never tried to soften or dilute the pain of that reality.
I guess everyone has different tastes, but I do feel like some people focus too much on finding flaws instead of appreciating what the show is trying to do š¤·āāļøš¤·āāļøFor me, this show has one of the best stories and screenplays and its became one of my favorite bl series so much that i became a fan for GeminiFourthš„¹š„²
And in that scene when Barth called his home phone, just so he could hear the recorded message from his mother AND also knowing that she is not there....man just kill me atp..
So... I cried. Best series of all time, and the best episode of all time for me.
Such a masterpiece, and I will be forever thankful to P'Aof for creating this amazing series and for choosing GeminiFourth, because they are absolutely perfect for this story.
I think people spoke too soon when they said there needed to be more exploration, because I think this episode proved exactly why it had to be this way. After all the sweet moments, he finally came to terms with his situation, and it hit him so hard. And, of course, with Fourth's amazing acting, every emotion felt so raw and heartbreaking.
I'm beyond sad that next episode is the finale, and I have no idea what I'm going to do. I cannot wait for the next episode...I'm already counting the minutes...
My God, love this show... I havenāt enjoyed watching a series this much in such a long time, and I look forward to every new episode with so much excitement!! So i need to share my opinions, because im gonna lost my minddd..... I really enjoyed this calm episode after all the intense moments from the other episode. I think it was much more realistic that they continued to take things slowly instead of becoming a couple right after the kiss. There are moments in every episode that hit me deeply, and the last ten minutes of episode 4 absolutely wrecked me. They are just two innocent soulsssssššAnd GemFourthā¦ Iām obsessed with their acting. They portray emotions so beautifully. I wasnāt even a fan before this series, but they won me over instantly. Fourth especially, is INSANELY talented. I havenāt watched My School President yet, but I definitely will. Even just from watching edits on twt or insta itās incredible how effortlessly he embodies two completely different charactersš„¹
I was genuinely surprised to see some people not enjoying the series because, for me, this is the first show since Bad Buddy that has affected me this deeply, and I already know the last two episodes are going to destroy me emotionally:((( The series has had this heavy atmosphere from the very beginning. It feels like weāre slowly moving toward a storm, and Iām both prepared and not prepared for it.....
And honestly i donāt understand people saying the symbolism is confusing or hard to follow. Because to me, everything is actually quite clear, and I love that the director leaves some things open to interpretation. I really enjoy all the discussions and conversations that come from that.
I honestly never want this series to end, and I really hope these two get many more projects together.
