High rating is always good, but there are may great dramas that don’t even get a 9.0 rating due on MDL. As long as a drama is popular in China and is hit according to their own metrics, that’s all we can ask for these days — there are so many bot/troll accounts on MDL who mess with ratings, that I got used to many dramas dropping to below 8.0 in early days due to massive downvotes from antis/haters.

I can imagine the joy (😁) in all of our faces when the ending scene will be the white haired guy and the restaurant lady saying good night to their son… in the modern world! ☺️

I normally pride myself on keeping up with everything (other than remembering exact names 😳), but this drama kind of glosses over many things that other dramas would spend a bunch of time on (for better or for worse).

Wait a second, the restaurant lady is a time traveler? Why did they put that in a novel? Feels so random 😳🤯

If we just look at dramas (TV shows), #1 is When Life Gives You Tangerines 🍊 (used to be 9.4 until very recently) and #2 is Twinkling Watermelon 🍉 (9.2). After that, there are only 9.1 rated dramas. So this would be #3 rated drama.

Could someone please explain the connection between Current Emperor (very young guy), Previous Emperor (who abdicated 16 years ago), and rebelling Prince C. (dad of two mega evil villains).

The only example I can think that’s a little similar to this couple is from Are You the One. FL not only managed to open a very successful business to support her idle husband, she also followed him to war, organized supporting camp and came up with a plan to defeat enemy forces. That FL and this FL are awesome 🥰

The knives are from her dad who said they are their family’s heirlooms. Since it’s pretty clear her dad was a very important person, it must mean there’s something special about the knives too. I’m sure we will find out :)

Probably haters who are downranking this drama. It happens with almost every drama — after 2-3 days (6-8 episodes), you will see negative reviews claiming they watched 100% of the episodes 🧐🤨🙄
