The best method do get screen time while NOT being controversial/indecisive is to pair up with somone early and then create romantic moments on the island (there are plenty of very beautiful looking locations there). I can’t speak for everyone, but many people would surely enjoy 5-10 minutes of a couple being romantic & getting to know each other instead of someone having boring conversations or interviews about their inner turmoil or inability to settle on one person.

The issue is that some of things she had told the guys are not true. I also like to give contestants benefit of a doubt because I’m aware of how these shows get made/edited, but Mina Sue surely made some mistakes which were her own doing. Producers didn’t use an AI deepfake for campfire scenes, for example 😒

All we can hope is that Mina Sue somehow does a complete turnaround, picks someone in Episode 8, and we won’t have so much screen time dedicated to her 😩

Just rewatched this with some friends. I completely forgot this drama featured some serious star power in supporting roles: Li Xian, Seven Tan, Janice Wu (just to name the most obvious people).

I also like this better than the drama version. It’s very fast paced, but I felt that drama version was a bit boring. And I’m saying this as a person who loves this author’s works and enjoys slow-burn dramas overall.

Apparently, Mina Sue’s friend claimed in a comment on IG that she was just playing a role assigned by producers. But I think that may not have been a literal meaning — more of like “producers made her edit that way” or something.
Because I find it hard to imagine ANYONE would agree to do the things she’s been doing — it doesn’t take a genius to realize the fans would hate that and it’d ruin your brand.

It’ll be hilarious if Su Been won’t be picked by Mina Sue after everything he had done. It honestly feels like he caved in too quickly — Mina Sue now has him back and still has other guys she’s pursuing.

It’s possible those accounts are just people who love to stir up trouble for no reason, just to entertain themselves. Like the people who pretend to be fans of Person A who talk down Person B just to start a fight between fandoms.

I wish all contestants well and don’t want anyone to be ostracized, but Mina Sue would need to have a huge redemption arc in episodes 8-12 in order for her reputation to be restored. Maybe if she quickly picks a guy who isn’t connected to anyone else then we all could live happily ever after.

That’s pretty much everyone at this point. Not being able to pick between multiple people is totally normal, but she has done & said some really shady stuff and it can’t be blamed solely on the villain’s edit.

I wonder if she plays any instruments? Winner of multiple acting awards Shin Seul-ki serves a double duty — producers can easily insert piano-playing scene(s) whenever they want 🎹😊

Oh, thanks! I haven’t watched that one yet. It’s interesting to hear she’s tried acting because this comments page has remarked how bad of an actress she is — everything is clearly written on her face 🤣

Is she really an actress? We know she competed in beauty pageants (and that’s how some other girls know her apparently).

At this point no one can understand Mina Sue’s actions. Well… I should say, no one can find an excuse for her actions 😳😒

I’ve always been curious about that show. How would you compare it against, say, Seasons 1-3?
I enjoyed 1-3 (except Gwan Hee) but season 4 focused too much on one person and season 5 is dangerously close to doing the same.

If you told me in the beginning, everyone would be rooting hard for the most famous/experienced person, I wouldn’t have believed it. But, somehow, Min Gee has become an underdog everyone’s supporting in her “fight” against Mina Sue.

Definitely not going to follow in Shin Seul-ki’s footsteps and win awards for her acting 🏆

On an American show they’d definitely have footage of that. On a Korean footage maybe they stopped shooting while she was getting treatment and fainted? We may never know but — for sure — she didn’t faint while they were filming. Even a little video of her going to Production doesn’t show her fainting.
