I understand why some people feel uncomfortable with the age gap, especially because she just turned 18 and he’s 27. I’m not saying anyone is wrong for feeling that way. At the same time, I personally don’t find a 9-year age gap between two adult actors that unusual, especially when age gaps like this have existed in dramas before. I also don’t think being 18 automatically means someone is incapable of making their own decisions or that we can assume what their level of maturity is just based on their age. Everyone develops differently. If someone personally feels uncomfortable watching a romance between actors with this age difference, that’s completely valid, but I don’t think that means everyone else has to feel the same way or that there’s something objectively wrong with the casting. We can have different opinions about it without judging each other for them
