No, I genuinely do respect different opinions, including yours If I didn’t, I honestly wouldn’t have continued this discussion for so long. I just meant that sometimes when discussions become constantly negative in every related thread, it starts feeling less like normal criticism to me. But I know you’re actually explaining your perspective and reasoning seriously, even if we completely disagree on the writer’s themes and dynamics

I do understand where you’re coming from, especially regarding the recurring age gaps and emotional dynamics in her dramas. I just personally interpret those relationships less as “women lowering themselves for broken men” and more as stories about emotionally lonely people connecting in imperfect ways during difficult points in their lives. I can see why that wouldn’t work for everyone though, especially if you prefer relationships that feel more equal or aspirational. Anyway, I think we just fundamentally see her writing very differently, and honestly my brain is tired at this point so this will probably be my last reply

Yeah honestly, I usually like seeing different perspectives even when people dislike a drama, but when the comments become constantly negative under nearly every related discussion, it starts feeling more like intentional hate than normal criticism to me

I honestly think that’s a really interesting way to interpret her writing, even if I personally see it differently. To me, her dramas feel less about women existing to “fix” broken men and more about emotionally lonely people finding comfort and understanding in each other despite all their flaws.
I also don’t really see the female leads as weak or “settling” just because the men are imperfect. Most of the women themselves are emotionally struggling too, so the healing feels more mutual to me rather than one-sided.
That being said, I can still understand why certain dynamics or age gaps wouldn’t work for everyone, especially in dramas like My Mister. I just personally never interpreted those relationships as the women lowering themselves or giving up better lives for men

I can understand why you interpret her writing that way, especially since a lot of her dramas do focus on emotionally damaged male characters and healing-centered relationships. But personally, I never viewed the female characters as existing only to “save men” or having no self-actualisation outside of that. To me, her stories are usually more about lonely, emotionally exhausted people finding comfort, understanding, and healing through each other regardless of gender.
And honestly, I think reducing the emotional connection many viewers have with her work to just an “echo chamber” feels a bit unfair. People can genuinely connect with slower, introspective writing styles without pretending to be intellectual or deep. At the end of the day, her style clearly resonates strongly with some viewers while completely missing others, and I think both reactions are valid
The FL’s acting is incredible, she always delivers so well. I don’t know that much about the ML yet so I can’t say too much about him overall, but in this drama he’s honestly really good too. Both of them seem like such beautiful human beings
