Protecting LGBTQ+ spaces is important, but I don’t think excluding content entirely is the best solution. It’s possible to support the community while still allowing variety in what gets shown.
I agree, Chinese BLs have become my addiction, but sometimes they turn it into bromance because of Chinese censorship, and that is really frustrating. For example, if you watched The Untamed, it is adapted from a BL novel but in the end it became bromance because of censorship. And yes, Japanese ones also depend on the situation, and Taiwanese ones, not all of them, but most of the ideas are like that and can be good. But overall, Chinese dramas win by a lot ðŸ˜ðŸ™Œ
Same here 😠I’ve been leaning more towards JP, CN, and TW BLs lately. Chinese dramas especially keep surprising me the most. I don’t feel as drawn to Thai ones anymore some of them feel a bit repetitive or even a bit awkward in acting sometimes. Not all of them of course, but a lot lately just don’t hit the same.
I get you, then maybe it’s just this one that didn’t work for you. I’ve only seen The Shipper and thought it was okay, so maybe I’ll check the others if you recommend them
I actually enjoyed it for what it is. It’s a light, feel-good type of drama, so I don’t expect it to be perfect. I agree the rating might be a bit high, but that usually comes from people who enjoy this kind of tone. It might just not align with your taste, especially if you’re not into softer or more exaggerated styles.
