okay they sold the plot to me
I’m reading the novel and very enjoying so far! they like to play mental games with each other
I like the main character especially and his attitude toward his “one sided” love like im enjoying this person and love him but im not expecting anything in return

in my country 99% of TV shows are dubbed into my native language and sometimes the new voices are even better than original, they suit the appearance of actors better.
I got so used to it that I forget that dubbing seem like a flaw to Americans and other English speaking people who usually watch with subtitles. lol the complaining about this seems so hilarious to me

and you know what sucks the most?…
that it seems this annoying doctor is going to have happy ending with his brolover after all trouble they had caused to main characters.
i just feel the creators would gift them HE bc they are also the second couple here…
i think they prioritised the wrong characters

That why 2 or 3 actors that played in bl series faces been AI changed or cut from dramas they been after. One…
you must be working for Chinese government or something to believe so wholeheartedly their propaganda that they don’t “actually” discriminate against gays but support their families and same sex adoption lol 😂 such a bullshit!
don’t forget some of us are here for years even decades too and witnessed a lot of situations to form our opinions on state of queer communities in china.
Just recently deep in actors couldn’t attend promo together in mainland china and cancelled their event because they weren’t allowed to stand close. Plus they had to sit separately at the event in Thailand too. They don’t have any fan meetings together in mainland china, only in Macao. so yeah we know
the government can say anything in their documents but the reality is whole opposite thing.

My theory after ep 21: after getting blood from A Leh, Lin Zai's blood is no longer 'immune' and that's why Lin…
I think Lin Zai’s brother exploded because the hell of a doctor changed the ampulla from bone marrow (which he wants to use with his own brolover) to the deadly poison with which he was preparing to kill A Leh the whole episode (unsuccessfully).

I really envy people who commented earlier that they weren’t born in predominantly homophobic societies and didn’t experience hate for themselves for being gay! Happy for you that you didn’t have that stage of your life, I can’t relate lol It can be veryyy ugly

Anyway I’m all for redemption archs and finding who you are and why some things especially trigger you! Go Chien Liang go kiss that acting partner of yours now when you feel free to do so

wait guys Lin Zai looks so much like Prince tin/Ongsa from the edge of horizon!!
to me they don’t look alike but they are kinda the same type, soft a little feminine features, great almost perfect proportions of the face, big delicate lips, yearning eye. no wonder I like them both so much lol

Title The Missing Piece Spoiler
nope you got it all wrong :)he didn’t got over his ex after the kidnapping. Moreover he was so desperate and…
So he remembers that Mr Ji saved him and was at the kidnapping scene when he was hugging him in the barrack. Thats why he also once asked him later why Mr Ji got earlier to him than police although he called them.

Also he remembers that when he regained consciousness at the hospital right after the accident Mr Ji came to him and introduced himself as a brother of his ex’s girlfriend and that he paid for his medical bills. ( It’s the only occasion in that time period that he didn’t forget.)

But then later when he got home after hospital his mental state had gone worse and the next time when he saw Mr Ji he kinda broke down and couldn’t distinguish between him and his ex since he was waiting for his ex to show up.
Like that’s my interpretation…idk I hope I got it right too lol

Yeap there were a lot of time jumps actually. I get why people who didn’t read the novel can be so confused! I do think it’s partially fault of director to not present timelines more accurately and evidently for audience

Jeez it’s been a minute since I have seen homophobic parents in BL within modern settings. Feels like home lol

(I don’t count parents in Edge of Horizon since it is historical)

Not really after the accident where the Zhou yang's cousin beat him up he was fine and remembered everything,…
His dad when he was mentioning “illness” meant Shen Mo’s homosexuality since in a lot of conservative Asian households they treat it like a disease person should overcome/ that it shoule be treated.

Title The Missing Piece Spoiler
Can someone explain to me the amnesia aspect? So Shen Mo was kidnapped, saved by Mr Ji, then got over his ex and…
nope you got it all wrong :)
he didn’t got over his ex after the kidnapping. Moreover he was so desperate and wanted him to come back and save him so
much that he got random man (in this case Mr Ji) as his ex in his twisted mind. Basically because of severe trauma he couldn’t recognise people’s faces and that’s why he thought he was with the ex meanwhile it was Mr Ji all that time taking care of him.
Later he got better and his mental state returned to normal but he couldn’t remember that time period of 6 months when Mr Ji was with him. At that that Mr Ji was already deep in love and couldn’t just let him go so he came up with idea to tie Shen Mo to himself with contract to pretend they are dating.
Shen Mo remembered that they were once together only after Mr Ji got their contract eliminated and Shen Mo got the keys and visited their old apartment where they used to live together.
