yeah, they always cut down on the drama scenes and orginal script scenes due to the episode limit from before, i hope they won't cut it down here after since the limit is gone and produce long dramas like before

she really isn't that type of character, she never would do such thing, but did u forget one thing, she is shen jialan and the elders she is asked to pay respect to is the ones who betrayed her biological parents shen family and part of their cause of miserable death, how will you be able to pay respect to the people who betrayed ur parents, and caused their death, gave up one the engagement with you in last moment, since filiality matters in past society, how can she betray the filiality towards her own parents by paying respect to the people who betrayed them, if she does that only, then lan xiang character will be unrealistic. she long forgotten and given up to take revenge on emperor and lin family since she just wanted to survive and not make her own life soo hard just for revenge, she wanted to cherish her life left by her parents, she tried her best to get far away from lin family like becoming commoner so she no longer have to be slave of lin family but when lin jinqi forced her to enter the lin family as his wife,her past wounds resurfaced and we can see in the episodes from the moment she got the imperial decree till after marriage ceremony, she was kept on reminded of the shen family destruction and the engagement break off from all things around her like that pastry with lin family and other stuff, so she cant let herself to acknowledge the elders

yeah, soo painful yet sooo good to watch all of it has been long time since watched a quality drama and I am happy it 47 episodes and not limited to 40 episodes, i even wish it could be longer to 70 episodes like the older cdramas like yanxi palace and story of ming lan, I just cant get enough of the episodes, it feels soo short, and i cant control myself to wait for all the episodes to release and watch, soo painful to wait for only 2 eps each day
I cried my eyes out with fl in ep 27, the way she looks at the lin family word while lifting the veil, in the wedding pastry, the way she ate it crying while recalling the past, it was soo painful to watch it. even though ml genuinely love's her and not make things difficult for her and protect her and even though the marriage is ordered by emperor and no one can bully her but with all this things ,I am sure the elders and the parents in lin family will bully her and talk her down indirectly, we can see a example of it in ep 28 preview in the end of ep 27 where the ml's mom said her son brought a unreliable person into the house ,and indirectly humiliating the fl . she does not deserve all this trouble and all this humiliation from the lin family ,i feel so. bad for her. but i did love how ml took that slap willingly and smiled shamelessly while attending for guests saying bitterness first and sweetness next. and I love he talked to her in bridal chamber, saying he understands her upsetness but he will make her fall her, then carried her to the main bed ,then said husband and wife should share fortune and hardships together but he will face all the hardships and she will have all the fortune and went to sleep in side chamber, it was sooo good to see but I am still sad and worried for her

I really wish they dont do it according to the novel where he only found out after the first daughter born,and only he find out, i want the drama to bring justice the shen family and for her to openly acknowledge herself as shen jialan and lin family owes shen family a lot by them betraying shen family and causing them to die in miserable way, they all should feel guilty towards fl after finding out the truth. whenever I see ml's family siting together and speaking happily like when ml got punished and he was lying down wounded and all the cousins of the family was siting together cheering him up and speaking happily, it just reminds me of shen family in first episode and how happy they were😢

I dont know what personal reason exactly in this drama that she has for not able to learn to read and write after marriage. but from my previous historical dramas knowledge, in ancient times, a girl ,for whatever they want to do, need to have permission from her parents before marriage and permission from her husband after marriage. even though ml could approve her wish, he doesn't know she wants to learn and she doesn't dare to ask him since there relationship is not good and she thinks he will not approve women to study just like any other ancient men would think like that. another thingis ml family also would not approve because after marriage, if the wife keeps on appearing in public frequently, it is considered as disgrace for the family, regardless of what she did is right or wrong and as women she should always stay in house ( ancient humans mindset). another reasons would be , we can see in one episode that her mother is coming and telling what her father instructed her to do like making ml to come and see her father and be obedient and instructs her to listen to her husband. so even though she is married, her parent's family is still controlling her decisions and action, so, even if she wants to study, with her parents rules and restrictions, she cant do anything. thats why she shadyly in name of giving loans, illegally collecting money, to leave a way out for her

she is not considering fk as particularly a enemy, its just that for madam yu, who seeks benefit from her original with her ,should be bonded or tied to the family in anyway, or else she will be an outsider, and she does not like sharing benefits with a outsider, the benefits i am talking about is the credit from the crown prince for solving the salt case,and she does not want to share with fl as an outsider. fl also knows about madam yu's thought, so fl is afraid madam will use her or bring harm to her just bcs fl is wiser like her and also a outsider, so fl got the confession as a protection against madam yu ,so in the future madam yu will not use her. in the end madam yu cares all about the interest of her own family
and I saw two more scenes which looked like AI then cgi. one of is a railway scene where they show the train going without any persons in that. it looked more AI then of cgi. another is when murong qingyi st fire on the garden, i thought it was cgi at first but the more I looked it looked like AI. I love the drama and the actors but the use of AI just makes me sad
