After reading the script for the first time, I had a hunch that I would have a strong withdrawal reaction after the performance, because there were so many things about Xie Huai and Xia Xia that made me empathize and cry. After three months of shaping and accompanying, it turned out to be true.
Xie Huai used to be cheerful, sunny, and confident, but he became confused, fragile, and indecisive because of the huge change. He was like a shattered mirror, trying hard to reorganize himself, but he could not really recover. And the wonder of life is that good things come after bad times. When Xie Huai was in the most difficult time, Xia Xia appeared in his world like a ray of light, which made him cheer up again. Xie Huai saw a similar fate to him in Xia Xia - like another self. Together with Jingzhou, Lei Ge, Tzuyu, Shanqi, Cai Yun and Xinghe's friends, Xie Huai found himself and became a new self.
I have been with everyone in this big family of the crew for a long time. I felt indescribably sad when we parted ways. On the day of the wrap-up, I cried my heart out for the first time in several years (you can see it in Xia Xia’s video 🤫). Thank you very much to Director Guo for answering my hundreds of questions one by one, patiently explaining the play to me, encouraging me when I was not confident, and even personally taking pictures of Xie Huai’s "life shot"!
