One of the things I hate the most in drama's is one of the love interests saying "I knew you first" or "I liked you first". It is a pathetic attempt to exert some sort of right over someone's feelings. No one is obligated to return somebody else's one sided feelings! I cannot believe our ML pulled this super annoying and equally pathetic 2ML move on our FL.
I know he has done a lot for her and he has supported her, but she does not owe him her heart. What she does owe him is an answer. I know she told him to wait until the revenge was over and they would have that discussion again, but if this guy is going to start pulling this beta male act, then give him a proper answer. Either reject him properly (so he can move on) or at least set the record straight if she does have feelings (but emphasize she wont act on them until they are done). She has left it ambiguous.
I have a feeling that GC is going to do something really drastic before this is over. They are really setting Theo up as a huge pain in the rear for GC. They are really starting to push a "possible relationship" between Theo and JI in front of GC. They may not want to kill off the ML in this drama, but Theo may be fair game. I would not be surprised if the last straw for GC is the "not his child" reveal and GC takes out Theo himself.
I think it is showing the devolment of his mind. he is close to losing his grip on reality because of his family…
Yeah, I agree. This is way more than just regret. This has become diagnos-able mental illness level obsession on his part. He definitely has become more and more unhinged. His fixation on his ex-wife is just an object level obsession. He wants to own her and does not want anyone else to "have" her. He is about to really lose it now that he knows that Theo has feelings for her. I read on the KBS site the preview text for episode 93 says that he "loses his senses" over Theo's affections for Jae-in.
I am doing a little research bc I want to ask ppl WHAT WORD THEY WOULD USE TO DESCRIBE THIS BEHAVIOR: when a woman…
I understand where you are coming from. However, whatever the writers had her doing at first has changed up. Just like her stupid ex-husband. I have no idea where all this new found jealousy and obsession has come from - except the writers wanted to change things up.
To be honest though the ML has the personality of a warm bowl of jello. I just cant take him seriously. The new guy has more chemistry with all the FL's than the ML. I don't know if it is the actor or the character that he is playing, but the ML just feels like a bland 2ML character for some reason.
While I am all for the whole ex has regrets thing. This whole pining thing with Gi Chan is just too much. He is supposed to be and has been this evil self-absorbed bastard until these last several episodes. NOW all he can think about is his ex-wife Jae-in. I guess the writers needed to put him on pause for awhile? I am sure they will have him devolve into some sort of love-sick obsessed 2ML that thinks that if he kidnaps the girl that it will make her fall completely in love with him. (CUE: Kidnap trope).
I just wish they would return him back to his scheming don't give a f**k about no one but himself character that I loved to hate. This obsessed lovesick puppy shtick is getting old really fast.
I think no one saw the evil arc coming for the second ML 🤣 Like, how on earth did his character develop into…
Yeah the villian arc was pretty stupid. Heck him coming back after the MC had been in a committed relationship for the last 8 years and EXPECTING her to immediately drop her boyfriend for him was mental hospital level delusional!
Ep22 wasted with trash script....the delirium and obsession of smlAnother drama with this shitsThe ending? Its…
Yeah we knew from the beginning of the drama that they would have to go back to where nothing was different. Given the ban on time travel, my biggest hope for an ending was that they would at least have a shared dream" experience. They did!
On these Chinese time travel/transmigration dramas, I try to separate out the two stories any way - but I always keep in mind that the ending will always go back to square 1. It helps me enjoy them better. So we had two endings, the happy ending in the dream timeline, and the happy ending back in the future.
The writers could have saved the 2fl and brother from being utterly insufferable if they just made 3 changes…
It could have been worse - they could have left their relationship as it was in the novel - where the brother was not bio-related to the fl and he had feelings for fl ... and then all kinds of different crazy insufferable issues would have occurred!
Yeah, It is almost a completely different story than the novel!
In the drama , it is an entirely different situation. Instead of transmigrating into a novel as fictional characters, they go back in time.
The FL had been dating the SML for years and she loved him enough to give up significant educational and career opportunities for him. When she goes back in time, she is already aware of who ml is & has an hate/hate relationship with his original self. She also is aware of the mistake she made with the 2ml and tries to avoid him.
The 2ml is of course obsessed and is rejected - the fl develops feeling for the ml and they start a relationship that so far has been long term. The 2ml has been out of the picture for the last couple of years. - waiting on him to show up again - That is it so far ...
Yeah, It is almost a completely different story than the novel!
In the novel, the basketball player is in love with the fl throughout high school, her brother (who is not bio related to her in the novel) also has some conflicted feelings for fl. The ml is a grown assed man and the fl is a 16 year old HS student - the ml is a mentor to the fl - and that is all. He discovers that he has feelings for her, but because she is a child, he tries to not cross the line until she becomes of age. The fl has a bit of a crush on the ml, but initially it is a HS girl crush. So in the first half of the novel there is a focus on the basketball player and the brother jockeying for her attention. The ml is basically a side character.
After the college entrance exam, the basketball player is going to confess to the fl and the fl was going to actually consider dating him (as she realized that she had budding feelings for the basketball player) but they get into a fight and he leaves her crying in the rain. The ml finds her crying and picks her up and takes her with him. She cries about losing her possible first love (the basketball player). However the author later starts qualifying her feelings for the BB player as just budding feelings that were never realized.
The BB player realized this mistake that night and tried to go back and get fl but only found ml's umbrella lying on the ground. He would look back on that night for years with regret. He never got over fl. He did come see her years later after the ml and fl were a couple and tired to woo her and even chased her down the sidewalk and back hugged her in front of the ml (of course). But she basically told him to get a life (without her). Dude was a sad lonely dude the rest of the way...
Yeah, It is almost a completely different story than the novel!
This drama is one of the most changed from the original source material drama's that I have ever seen. The transmigration is different, the relationships are different. The love triangles are different. The period of life of the characters that the story focuses the most on is different. It really is a different story with similar named characters & somewhat similar circumstances.

Yeah, I just don't want either one to lose the growth that they have gained through this experience. That is the one thing I hate about the "It was all just a dream" method. In this story everyones lives will be exactly the same when they come out. The ml will be the company exec, the fl will be the jobless girl that threw everything away for the worthless boyfriend, and the worthless boyfriend will again be wothless and still chasing her. But this time he will be the one that has been a long term relationship with fl.
lol the 2nd ml coming back as a venture capitalist will be soo funny to see him thinking he can still get the…
Especially since by the time he comes back, the main OTP will have been in an established relationship for at least a couple of years. I am not sure why someone would think they have a chance at that point, but hey who am I to question the drama gods?
It will be interesting to see how they deal with the time travel restriction at the end of this drama. I am sure that this will all be a dream by one or both of the main couple. Hopefully shared since they were both in the elevator together when this started.
I am glad someone has the same opinion of me. People may pity him but I never feel that way. He is the epitome…
He shouldnt be. Because as of now at least 2 years have passed since his injury and since the lead couple have been together. We dont know what has happened with the ex and what has happened with his relationship with the fl because it hasnt shown it.
I know this adaptation is so very different from the novel. It is actually almost a completely different story. But this character in the novel was pretty tragic. He was going to confess to fl right after the college exams and she was actually going to consider dating him. However they got into an argument and he left her crying in the rain - by the time he reaized his mistake and went back the ml had already come and picked her up. She was done with him after that. He continously looked back at this with regret - for years. He never got over her.

I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of this guy. I hope this injury and the realization that the fl is into someone else puts him on a better path. FL was happy that the ex was going to play overseas and felt like this restart was giving everyone a better chance at life. He may come back when things are different. She will probably have to reject him properly and not just avoid him.
