WeiWei was SO right about Chi Cheng, he IS DIRTY omg (I'm laughing while typing this 😆) but kidding aside that WAS past. I don't care if Chi kissed or slept with half of the earth's population during his prime, the important is, He is a changed man now and he did changed willingly for Wei at the end. I get it why some viewers may find it disturbing to see too much kissing in one episode by one of our belived main cp (cough Tian*) the possessiveness for the main cp by fans is strong af ..and I do respect Tian XuNing more as an actor after this episode.
Lastly, I just want to say this, when Chai Jidan said to not read the novel while waiting for the series, I knew I have to listened to her, I know that Author's game, she is unhinged. Unhinged in a good and bad way, her work, Addicted heroine is hands down , still undisputable, my most favorite bl of all time (book based wise) ...I don't know how many times I have to paused ,dropped down the book and it made me dad deep introspection into my life decisions while reading it the first time, it traumatized me u can say but sigh* her choices of words is very well put into order blended with comedic timing along with toxicity/chaos is SO addicting like the title of her book...to make it short, I will never read Counterattack for my sanity because based on readers' reaction about the book as 10x more toxic than Guhai and Bai lou yin, no not again, I will stick on what the series is gving me rn and I'm enjoying the direction of it.
