On Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy Oct 10, 2025
Tbh this movie isn’t as bad as people are saying I actually enjoyed it! Maybe it’s because I haven’t read the novel but I really liked the action and Jisoo acted so well. I mostly watched it because of her.
I was a bit disappointed, though that they didn’t show what happens to Jisoo in the end. The ending also felt a bit flat it lacked emotion. If there had been more feelings shown like crying joy or any strong emotional moment it would’ve hit harder.
And when Ahn Hyo seop said at the end I wanna be with my partner was he talking about Soo-bin? If yes then why was there zero tension or chemistry shown between them throughout the movie?
Other than that I really wished we got to see more of Jisoo and Lee Min ho. I also didn’t expect that child to survive till the end And the old man completely surprised me I didn’t think he was a good person at first but when he went alone to that tank and started shooting the monsters that was so unexpected. And the vfx were not good neither bad in the movie but at the end scene while fighting the last monster the vfx were terrible

Again this is fiction, why do you keep forgetting it? Korean doesn't have religions when Christian, and Islamic…
I get that it’s fiction I’m not expecting a documentary. But the issue is they didn’t just invent a random villain or made up myth they literally used Iblis by name quoted Quranic verses and tied it directly to Islamic teachings. If they wanted pure fiction they could have created a completely original lore like they often do in K dramas. Mixing real scripture with a parody portrayal makes it feel like they’re mocking beliefs instead of reimagining them. Still if you wanna act dumb you can I can't do anything

my love if it was FICTIONALIZED DRAMA why did they told they same story of Iblis as in Islam and even told the same Quranic ayat in which how human are made is described. If these aspects were not present I wouldn't have mind it at all
On Genie, Make a Wish Oct 3, 2025
Watched the first episode and honestly I was disappointed with how they portrayed the Shaitan. They introduced it almost exactly as described in Islam but instead of making it frightening and powerful they made it look silly. If they weren’t going to treat it seriously they should’ve created a completely fictional concept instead of directly naming it Iblis or a major Shaitan.
Another thing why was the genie in Dubai? It would have made more sense if they set it in Saudi Arabia which has actual ties to Islamic history. Dubai doesn’t have that background yet they used it as the central setting. On top of that the Shaitan was referred to as Arab by the female lead and she was saying again and again why doesn't he have a beard. Making it for the Korean audience they decided not to give him beard and making us think he can't grow it which is funny because Arabs grow beard well they aren't like Koreans who can't grow beard
Watching this I can’t help but think I know around half of Koreans don’t follow any religion but are they really this careless with how they represent others beliefs? They turned Iblis a very serious figure in Islam into a joke. That feels disrespectful.

tbh it was boring in first and second ep but all other ep were so good I can't believe they actually did a good job but I hope so there won't be a seson 4 neither an American version as Netflix is slowly becoming the graveyard of unlimited seasons which I think needs to stop

Omg I just played ep 6 and immediately turned it off to check what ppl are saying about the starting scenes I think they were not needed tbh I skipped them they are too much for me and idk y it's labeled as a 15+ it's probably an 18+ drama. (Edited: Guys out here in south Asia even holding hands is considered peak intimacy and I grew watching it maybe due to which I think this is an 18+ but it's fine if you guys don't think so as one's opinion just depends upon the surroundings and enviournment)

The Tempest Ep 4 and 5 ReviewI honestly can’t put into words how amazing these two episodes were. This series is shaping up to be one of the best of 2025 no doubt. The tension between the ML and FL is so intense it feels like every five seconds you’re drowning in their dynamic. Ju Ji Hyun has truly nailed her comeback with this role.As a viewer I’m convinced Stella Young is the mistress and there’s a high chance the child is Ju Ji Hyun’s. The peaches line from her dying husband basically gave it away. They tried to keep the suspense around Stella’s identity but the clues were easy to piece together especially with the Scotland pictre where his parents went and where Stella imported materials for North Korea. What really stands out is how well the American storyline is handled. Usually Kdramas make foreign scenes feel awkward or cringe but here the execution is solid and believable. Also the president’s kindness toward the FL makes me wonder if thre's something suspicious like why does she care that much about her.I’m so excited how they’ll prevent the war from breaking out in the coming episodes. The plots within plots and the hidden motive it's just brilliant

Title Twelve
Just finished Twelve and honestly one of the worst dramas I’ve watched this year. Even the huge star cast couldn’t save it they served nothing other than looks.I had a bit of hope after episodes 5&6 but the last two completely buried that in the sand. I was ready to drop it after episode 4 but since it only had 8 episodes I pushed through especially when Ogwi and Mirr’s love story started.
I’ll give it a 7/10 which it honestly doesn’t deserve but since everyone at least served visuals I’m being generous. And seriously how did they even have the guts to hint at a season 2?

Thanks I really appreciate you saying that. I respect your right not to believe and I don’t want to force any religious views on anyone. I value the mutual respect between us as we can disagree but it’s important to do so without dismissing each other’s convictions.

Watched the first ep of the new Kdrama Hundred Memories and wow the chemistry between the two female leads is so strong I honestly thought it might turn into a GL until the male lead finally appeared. Both actresses look gorgeous. The male leads are equally stunning.Story already has me hooked I can’t wait to see how the girls chase their dreams, whether the guys actually become boxers, who the male lead ends up with, and why the girl ran away from home. Plus cinematography is breathtaking.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts I hear you. For me this isn’t acceptable life and death belong to God and we shouldn’t take that decision into our own hands. Medically assisted dying is still suicide and in all religions suicide is forbidden and seen as a grave even unforgivable sin. I understand that suffering is awful but it being normalised in dramas isn't good at all since dramas play a big role in shaping people’s thoughts and mindsets

On You and Everything Else Sep 12, 2025
I just finished watching the Netflix series You and Everything Else and honestly, it was so good. The acting was amazing and both of the female leads looked absolutely gorgeous. The series itself was really strong everything was portrayed so beautifully especially the way it showed how two people can love each other deeply yet still carry so much hate at the same time.
I loved how Eun Jung and Sang Yeon’s friendship was explored. A lot of people might say they didn’t like Sang Yeon, but for me, her character felt so real and relatable. No matter what, I can’t bring myself to dislike her. Eun Jung was shown as kind and loving, while Sang Yeon, who had always craved love but never received it, suddenly didn’t know how to handle it when it came from her friend. That contrast was powerful.
The way the drama portrayed how two best friends liking the same guy can completely shake and even break their friendship was also very well done. The show had been emotional from the start, but as someone who rarely cries, I didn’t shed a tear in the earlier episodes. Still, the last two episodes truly hit me they were an emotional rollercoaster.
If I could change something, I’d say the series should have been shorter, maybe 10-12 episodes instead of 15. Episodes 4–8 dragged a little, while episodes 12–14 felt fast-paced and intense which I loved.
One thing I didn’t like, though, was the recurring theme of medically assisted suicide. I’ve noticed it in several Korean dramas this year, and I find it disappointing that it’s being presented as something acceptable.
At episode 8, I thought I’d only rate it a 7/10 since it felt slow, but by the end it really grew on me. I especially enjoyed the last few episodes, so I’m giving it an 8.5/10. My only real wish is that Sang Yeon’s character was explored more deeply we only got her perspective briefly toward the end, and I think her side of the story deserved more time throughout the series.
