as much as i want the main two to push through and have a happy ending they both just have different values and QXW is such a coward for letting his parents control him at his old age. I feel so conflicted because i just want the best for the main girl but at the same time i keep hoping and wishing somehow he'd understand her.

just finished reading the novel for this drama and I'm so beyond heartbroken omg I dont even know if I can watch this anymore. Just seeing everything I read truly play out in front of my eyes, might just be the end of me. It's so so heartbreaking yet at the same time I hope the drama conveys everything. This tragic love story can't be erased I oddly hope the ending is the same as the novel. Anyone else agree?

the things that the ML does to the FL simply bc he feels she needs to "repay her betrayal" towards him is just disgusting and out of guilt the FL always plays along so that's the aspect of the novel I really hope they change. A good chunk of their moments when they were adults were forced or non consensual on her end but she gives in due to the guilt she feels from leaving him in the past.

looking at some of the clips they released on douyin it truly seems they will keep the essence of their adult arc from the novel though I did hope they'd change that as I am really not a fan of how unhealthy their relationship was at the start. The things both the leads do out of anger and guilt is just not necessary for the drama as they already changed a lot abt their dynamic so I just hope it's not as bad as the novel

Decided to read the novel of this drama since i was bored and im only on chapter 5 but i have to ask, does her friend always act like this? In the earlier chapters i understood why she was talking the way she was, but now i feel shes just putting her down constantly that its even making me feel depressed. Do they stay friends or have some sort of falling out or does she atleast change the way she speaks to the FL?

Honestly if your into bright and bubbly dramas this drama wouldnt be for you. It doesn’t only focus on the romance it focuses on the families whose stories are quite sad. And if your talking about the romance i totally get where you're coming from but you have to continue to see the development of their relationship. In my opinion, this drama depicted friends to lovers in an amazing manner. But if you were looking for a complete fluff drama with zero to no sadness I'd say pass on this one
