I liked this series very much. It had a positive happy ending. The cast were great and I particularly enjoyed Team Leader Bang and Secretary Go’s relationship. The best friend, Mi Ran, was so supportive and loyal. I liked her character very much. Hong Jong Hyun who played Min Uk reminded me at times of Wei Zheming the Chinese actor. Both so handsome. Of course the leads were terrific and I liked the ML. He was such a green flag.

Another good vertical with Wang Kai Mu and Wang GeGe is on You Tube is Broken Girl Met Elite Lawyer-he guard her in silence, until his gentle love bacame her salvation.

Agree. Ignore the ratings. It’s a very clever and grown up series.

Totally agree that it was a very theatrical production and especially loved the different techniques that were applied in developing the story. I only started watching for Liu Yuning but it’s Gai Wei who played his role very well and shone amongst the other characters.

So agree. Johnny Huang and Li Xian are two of my favourites.

I didn’t see the relationships as a love triangle. There didn’t seem to be any competition between Xiaodan and Chun Chun for Xiaoman’s affections nor did I feel Xia Lei was competing with Xiaoman for Xiaodan’s affections. That’s my take on it. I cannot think of any dramas where the SFL ends up with the ML.

Just for the OST alone it deserves a 10 and with such brilliant casting and such a beautiful, heartwarming and moving storyline, it’s a 10 for me. It’s such a great series.

There’s a lovely scene in Episode 25 towards the end (around 35 mins) when Xiaodan goes to the hospital to see Xiaoman and he is mounting the decorated bottles to the ceiling of the greenhouse. The POV of Xiaodan to the closeup of Xiaoman’s profile, the lighting and non-diegetic music adds to the poignancy of this scene revealing the loss of a once past love. So brilliantly filmed.

Have you seen the K-drama, Dare to Dream (also known as Jealousy Incarnate) ?-actually quite a lot of k-dramas have love triangles such as The Heirs, Our Beloved Summer, True Beauty, Clean with Passion for Now… the list is endless!

Love Song in Winter is pretty good with not just annoying but toxic 2ML. (FL is never attracted to him but he is obsessed!)

I can’t help but see a close resemblance between Lu Yu Xiao and Korean actress Kim Hye Yoon. Both amazing actors. Felt sad for Pei Zhen and his final scene was very touching. Dai Xu was fabulous in this role. I wish there was a more conclusive wrap up about the relationship between Zhao and Gong-it was too much left up in the air and left just in the friend/business collaborator’s zone although there could be a possibility that their relationship would grow (or that was my hope-would have liked to have seen it!)

Thank you for the link. Having seen these series I found the analysis quite interesting. I agree that I prefer the more gentler and understanding male leads that support the female lead rather the toxic, domineering types that are in many k and c dramas.

It is a comedy and one must suspend belief but really? That’s not how you get rid of wasps and chop down a tree (Episode 4)-perhaps a disclaimer needed! Ha!Ha! Bom-sik is adorable just like his parents. Overall, so far enjoying this series.

This is such a good vertical drama. Both leads do so well with this well written and developed story. I’ve always liked Wang Ge Ge and Wang Kai Mu is one of my favourite actors. Well done.

First Love is quite good as well as Glass Hearts.

What a gem of a series. Absolutely loved it. The FL and ML were perfect and portrayed their roles so exceedingly well as did the supporting cast notably her dad and her mum (love their outcome) as well as her friend, her teacher’s aide, the hosts (especially love the ML’s relationship with his flatmate and the ‘Number One’ host), his mum and particularly her fiancé. Such a refreshing and heartwarming story. The symbolism throughout added to its depth. Great OST. I particularly love The Castle by Yugo Kanno-such a hauntingly beautiful voice to the meaningful lyrics. It’s series like this that encourages me to watch more Japanese dramas.
