phew!!! lol i was for nothing then. actually m not on sns also i dont follow the actors so dnt knw much about the talk around the drama, i saw the next ep preview and my heart sank seeing him nosebleed. thank you for informing.
whats with the rating??? because of the mom's character? oh c'mon now, thats the main story here!! its about huan huan's journey from being mommy's obedient to attaining freedom from her dominance to establishing herself in life(also how ganny finds zhiming a family & home) . without the overbearing mom there's no "best choice ever", till when will we eat that same" all good" relationship btwn leads as a main plot. it only feels good when pair up with some spicy story. also lemme tell this as an asian that mom is not that of a overbearing here . atleast the father is quite character otherwise some asian parents are really way more overbearing than this, they wont stop mendling in children's life even after their marriage..So take a seat and watch it as a story of a stranger ,no need to take it personally. this can be one of the best drama of this year or in recent years if the series maintain consistency.

whats different about the main characters is the ml is tactful but not stiff and rigid he knows his limits and flaws and ready to change with situation. fl is strong and independent but not rude or arrogant , also doesnt shy away to take help . both the leads are calm but not bland . it looks like the evolution of " healthy relationship" between leads has gone right in chinese dramas.they didnt put any unrealistic personality trait on leads.

just 2 eps and so much happend already.... i am really enjoying this. the fl is unexpectedly good. and to the people commenting on her look in the year of 2024 , wait for while they will surely have great chemistry throughout the series. and suho is actually doing great with the character, since i know his personality i clearly see where and how he sprinkled myeonism over the character and i m seriously loved it way more than i thought i would.
from my understanding, the queen dowager is step mother of deposed king ,her own son died early or killed by her step son and she was house arrested or 10 years, while being caged there she managed to bring each and every palace staff on her team, she kept on drugging the king for a while and then helped a rebel group from southern to dethrone the king, the rebel leader is now THE KING whose son with southern blood is crown prince, the other son seems to be room 2nd wife( daughter of a court officials ). crown price is being hated because of his bloodline and also it seems he born and brought up outside the palace so he doesnt behave as typical royal blood which makes him less suitable fr the title .whereas the second son has elite bloodline and brought up in palace like a prince (favouble condition fe the title) .
the crown prince caught the queen dowager having affair with a royal physician,( fr now we have seen two royal physicians) . the crown prince is set to be married with the daughter of head physician . it looks like the crown prince trust the head physician thats why he decided to take the evidence ( needle box) to him. on his way he gets kidnapped by the head physician's servant as he mistook him as a scholar from out of city.

when i watched this for the first time really enjoyed it as a crime thriller but now that i am re-watching it after years suddenly i feel there's a huge romance going on which i missed during first watch. i mean it wouldnt be one if shi mok was normal like us but for someone with emotional disability it means a lot... i am really enjoying every little effort from shi mok, the way he totally trust her lean on her is just amazing,, i know its totally giving best friend vibes but to me this is romance.
