It is a dark comedy and a satire on society. The violence is delivered in a funny way; it is obvious it isn't real and is over-the-top, even though I find it a bit too much. I think a tad less would not have detracted from the satire. The SFL was the best at delivering the satire aspect. I watched it for Yokohama Ryusei, who delivered as expected, even with such a bad script.

Title Destiny
I liked it, even though the story was predictable from the start. What didn't convince me was seeing actors who…
the character are 35 in the show by the way and they were both similar ages when they shot it.

Thanks so much for sharing your list, will check them out. Nevertheless, he is not that bad once his backstory is revealed, etc. He is way too hot in that series. I love a bad boy; I had a crush on his character for months...

I liked it for the most part but their kiss threw me off. The way they kissed was absolutely awful.
i agree it was a 2 seconds kiss barely touched the lips.

Glad I'm not the only one who feels that. He just feels empty, like he isn't a bad actor, but it doesn't seem…
yeah and i agreed about romance but he hasn't done many since like ever though so you watched stuff from 2014, 2015/2016 and he was like 16/20. He has done what 4/5 romantic manga adaptation when he was like 16 to 21 not a huge part of his career. He has a lot of chemistry with his FL that's your opinion same as you told me about mine. I actually prefer him in the the nerdy, goofy, friend than the over the top romantic characters. he is also amazing in love is hard for an otaku. I loved him in your like in april, he even learnt piano both of them amazing leads and there was a lot of chemistry and they ended up dating later in life until last year. I am not sure what chemistry you looking. which japanese actors you like in romantic movies?

Is there any meaning to pushing someone to be friend with them? It looks forced when you trying with not so sincere…
he helped her a lot she had no memories, no friends

forcing someone to be friends with then suddenly confessing love. meh.
when did he suddenly confessed? he never really actually had the chance to confess. He says we could be more than friends during the festival while destroying the domino set up and he was about to tell her his feelings when she remembers her past. It is a bit unfair and also he helped her so much and gave her high school memories to cherish during a time she was completely isolated from everyone. is a very cute story.

when was last romance rama he has done? these were all pre 2018, he did theatre in 2020 where he plays a very unlikable and shity boyfriend. I hated that one, didn't finish it. Also FL was annoying. I love him in One week friend and your lie in april. he is good with either the cold and mean boyfriend who is actually just using these as a wall or the very clumsy and nerdy guy like in one week friend and. your lie in april, I don't think he is the emotional swoony drama lead actor like ryusei yokohama.

exactly at least one person who wrote a fair review.
She ie extremely independent in this drama though, she is not worried about getting married of being already over mid 20s etc etc, she is focused on her career and chooses NY over him at the end she is is the badass all the way. It is the 90s teen girl trope of the cold guy who falls for the cute clumsy next door girl who works hard, yes but to a certain degree and he does aknowledge her as his equal which most of these live adaptations don't do.

It begins with exaggerated parody of characters and tropes but develops into real growth for all four. It's clever…
yes one of the best growth arch for all characters i have seen in a Jrom com

I loved how the writer and director made it so clear that it was a parody -- seriously, how does almost nobody…
Exactly this is like only a few really got the meta in this drama.

Title No Longer Heroine Spoiler
I love the manga, I love Mirei and Kento together, amazing chemistry and well, Kentaro is the best SML ever in this movie. It is so meta, I find the negative comments absolutely ridiculous. Firstly, it is self-referential, cleverly commenting on its own category, the rom-com adaptation of a shoujo manga with an FL fixated on being the heroine of a manga and seeing love as she lived in a manga. It's meta before meta was even a term we used daily as we do now. The ML has some big trauma, abandoned by his mum, bullied, he doesn't feel worthy of love, and he feels empty. He starts dating the geeky girl with a big who asks him out. There is character growth, very well scripted, actually, compared to other similar live adaptations. I think we are like 3 or 4 people who actually got this instead of fixating with superficial bits like ah the ML stayed with the SFL even when he realised his real feelings... duh the SFL told him she needed him, the guy's trauma is all about feeling abandoned and obviously ending something with someone who needs him isn't gonna be easy. Honestly none has had any trauma on here?

I don't know if I can finish it. So nice to see early rom com Kento san playing the goofy friend rather than the mean hot guy and showing what a good actor he would become. He is way too cute i am dying watching his cute acting in this movie.
