I personally think the ending is great, after revenge arc finishes we have about 15+ chapters until they get married + extra chapter for other characters.
Hii! Personally for me ML could be considered a green flag, he may be "ruthless" or nicknamed "the king of hell" but that's entirely because of his position as a commander. ML and FL start of as suspicious towards eachother, though ML still treats FL well and protects her.
The novel itself because the author is Qian Shan Cha Ke (original author of the double, the glory, lotfg) you can expect a revenge driven plot? Focuses most on FL. Both ML and FL are quick-witted and smart. The romance is considered a slow-burn one. I do think the novel is a bit wordy but I think you can give it a try!
