This likely wouldn’t get a license unless the heavy bromance elements are toned down. GJM is known for emphasizing strong same-sex dynamics in his work, which often pushes the boundaries of what can pass censorship. Because of current regulations, productions with overt bromance/gay or suggestive framing usually face delays or revisions before approval.

It’s clear he’s very invested in portraying intense emotional bonds between male characters, similar to the themes often associated with his artists works. That creative obsession may work artistically, but it also makes licensing much harder under today’s standards.

And all their scenes are probably going to get wiped. Your faves gets way too hyped over the bromance moments and GJM films them, now he’s basically digging his own grave by deleting everything. It’s like he can’t win, shoots the scenes everyone loves, then erases them himself lol

Wdym? You didn’t discriminate against queer people, you just want to watch a straight couple. That’s a normal…
Here we go again with the pretentious “fan” act 😏. Just look at how you reacted on that "Ju Jingyi Aggressive” post, you’ve been caught. You even said that 3 million fans can’t be toxic toward 30 million fans and would never start a fanwar, as if implying that the 30 million fans are the ones who’d start it. Come on, that’s clearly just your way of showing dislike for Ju Jingyi lol. The irony. It’s hilarious to see two supposedly “active” fandoms Ju Jingyi and Rui fans, pretending to support each other while secretly throwing shade and acting like they’re above it all especially Tian jiarui fans who's been loud and bromance sucker.

So just because someone isn’t active on another page, that somehow “proves” they’re not a fan? I’ve seen plenty of fans here who I’ve never even seen engage with their so-called “fave” drama. How does that prove they aren’t a fan?

I don’t hate Tian jiarui.. but I’ve been observing this page for a long time and it’s hard not to notice a pattern. Time and time again, it’s Tian Jiarui fans who end up agreeing with and enabling the trolls. You react when JiLu fans spamming comments, you react when Ju Jingyi fans get overly excited and post a lot, yet somehow you still pretend this isn’t happening.
Let’s be honest for a second. Everyone knows that a large part of Tian Jiarui’s fans overlaps with bromance fans. That’s not an insult, it’s just reality. So stop pretending this behavior comes out of nowhere and that it’s only “haters” stirring things up. The reactions, the double standards, and the selective outrage are very obvious to anyone who’s been paying attention.

Lol. stop being blind. And you’re still defending Tian Jiarui despite the behavior of his bromance obsessed fans? They openly agree with the hate yet here you are choosing to defend them anyway. That’s your choice, ok, just deal with the consequences of turning a blind eye.

Just wish this couple wouldn’t be in the same drama coz their bromance obsessed fans will keep hunting. Unfortunately, it ended up in a Ju Jingyi drama, so her fans are stressed having to deal with it. It wouldn’t be such a mess if Ju Jingyi were paired with someone without toxic bromance fans.

This is exactly why VOS still no license, GJM is probably under stress trying to delete all those imagined “bromance”…
How come you’re so proud of it?Lol I’m not even surprised though, you really do seem proud of your faves being recognized mainly through bromance. Also, FOF is on iQIYI, while VOS is from Youku. Everyone knows Youku became much stricter after Word of Honor.
So if anything, there must’ve been way too much bromance between your faves that GJM ended up stressed, cutting and deleting scenes just to make it pass. That’s not exactly something to brag about, is it?

Just to clarify, this is based on information I’ve gathered from my own experience following cdramas+plus insights…
Are you sure that’s the reason? Gjm’s obsession with BL scenes and his love for queerbaiting is probably why post-production is taking forever.

This is actually very true, very sad, and one of the reasons why countless and countless people refuse to watch…
Are you’re playing the “passionate” card?lol You can already see some fans showing their true colors and being completely two-faced. First they start comparing follower counts then turn around and imply that Ju Jingyi fans are the most toxic ones who are deliberately causing fanwars just because their fave’s fandom is smaller. Make it make sense, lol. And I never said I wanted international fans to fight. It’s Tian jiarui fans who came at me first and started blowing things out of proportion, turning a simple point into a whole drama.
Comparing numbers like that is already instigating things, whether people want to admit it or not. You don’t get to provoke, label one side as toxic, then act innocent when others respond. Also, you can’t control what I say. I’m allowed to speak my mind like everyone else. I can say whatever I want, especially when I’m calling out obvious double standards. If that makes some people uncomfortable, that’s on them.

It’s also funny how you keep looking down on a smaller fanbase, as if small automatically means weak. A small fanbase often more aggressive, especially when their idol has just started gaining popularity. Stop comparing follower counts like that’s the only thing that matters. I’m just stating facts.
Or do you want me to bring up the whole Jujingyi-Tian Jiarui fanwar here? How Tian Jiarui fans couldn’t accept the idea of a second collaboration with Ju Jingyi when rumors about her new drama said he might be the male lead? They kept saying Ju Jingyi can’t act and that VOS is already enough for them. They clearly don’t like her and that hostility has never stopped. And that’s not even all. They threw all kinds of trash words at Ju Jingyi even went as far as putting a 💩 sticker over her face just because they didn’t want to see her. And Ju Jingyi fans came to his studio to make his fans apologized? His studio didn't do that because they have strong backer and don't care about anything. Do you really want me to start posting all the receipts, how Tian jiarui fans hype themselves up and act superior? Because there’s a lot more where that came from. And about CP? I don't have bias here. I just checked this page and curious to see because it's active and commentors are talking nonsense.

I’m not saying reservations make a drama a hit. I’m just saying that the other leads dramas clearly have higher reservations than VOS, that’s just context. The billing decision was obviously made by your fave director to push his own artist. That’s pretty common in the industry and outside of fandom spaces, most people don’t even care that much. I’m also not acting like I know everything and that I’m the only one with Weibo info. This isn’t some secret tea, it’s stuff a lot of people already know. And since I was only talking about fanwars in the first place, you guys are taking this way too far, lol. Now I have to spell everything out because you all keep blowing it out of proportion.

So here we go again, all Tian jiarui fans spending their time coming at me just because I stated facts. Now suddenly you can’t accept what I’m saying just because it doesn’t fit your narrative. Instead of actually addressing the points, you’d rather get defensive and act offended. Facts aren’t hate, and disagreeing doesn’t automatically make someone an anti. This kind of reaction just proves how sensitive the topic is for you all.

Lol, it really comes down to her contract. All the artists ended up terminating their contracts and had to pay the company, and it turns out all of their contracts were actually for 20 years. So it’s possible that the VOS drama got caught up in all of this mess causing to be delayed.

Tian Jiarui fans are really acting like you don’t know anything, just sugarcoating his acting skills to justify why he suddenly has the same billing as the three leads lol. VOS hasn’t even reached 1.5M reservations compared it to other dramas led by the other leads. People are clearly hesitant to watch it and a big reason is because this is GJM drama made to push his own artist. So stop pretending it’s all about acting skills and merit when there are obvious resources and backing involved. You can support your fave without rewriting reality, this kind of forced narrative is exactly why fanwars keep blowing up.

Lol but this is actually true. Tian Jiarui’s fans may be a smaller fandom, but they have a very strong backer behind them and they’re really loud when it comes to fanwars, they went head-on against Ju Jingyi fans. They know Ju Jingyi team doesn’t have a strong backer and rarely sues, so they’re much bolder and more aggressive.

Ok, seriously, I don’t get why I got 5 replies from different people, lol. Do I need to repeat again in my post that this equal billing is just gonna cause huge fanwars? What’s y'all the ranting about?

Sure, “equal billing isn’t a problem”? Tell that to the four Chinese fandoms already sharpening their claws before the drama even airs. Everyone’s always arguing over who gets first, who gets more screen time, literally anything becomes an excuse to start a war. And yeah, it is GJM’s fault—his casting and billing choices literally set the stage for this mess. If you’d read or actually understood what I said above about billing negotiations, you’d get it lol. You can sugarcoat it all you want, but we both know people love to lose their minds over the tiniest things online. The only way to avoid it? Stop pretending these 'harmless' decisions magically don’t spark fanwars.

Are you sure there aren’t any fanwars happening or is it just a little one? You wouldn’t know. The drama hasn’t even aired yet and there are already fanwars happening on Weibo right now, Lol. Honestly, I can say this is partly GJM’s bad decision, it’s his call to invite these actors. And you have no idea that popular actors usually get offers in exchange for agreeing to equal billing, they wouldn’t sign a contract without some sort of negotiation. If you don’t know how the industry works or what actually happens behind the scenes before filming, it’s better not to speak. There’s a lot going on behind the scenes that fans don’t see, and equal billing isn’t just randomly given.
