it honestly doesn't matter,as a fan of Cdrama since 2018,Occurences where celebrities face backlash for either acting properly in big IP dramas or ruining it has been prevalent, E.g was YY drama with Dilraba by Gu man,Novel fans were hating crazily back then,but guess what??? it was a success fr and it only impacted their careers positively despite the backlash,personally I think it doesn't matter if they get attacked,C-fans themselves in china also wanted the drama to go the favourites while pretending to be neutral at it,with the sole cover of being a novel fan,its very disheartening.
People who are mad at the cast are just angry it's not their faves,lol. it's a common occurrence in Cdrama land,for some reason rival fandoms are bitter when their fave actors don't get Big IP dramas adapted from popular novels like this. looking forward to this show although I'm neither a fan of the leads purely to make sure they prove their haters wrong.
