Probably because it’s 12 episodes, they had to rush the story? Even though it’s ended, it still feels unfinished in a way. So many parts unexplained. Story went downhill along the line. Although every actor brought their A-game, it still felt lacking. But overall, it was still a good watch👍🏾.
Why the hate for Byeon Woo Seok? He’s such a good actor and I think he acts according to what the script demands from him. I can’t wait to watch him in this one.
Is this your first time seeing Korean interactions? It can be frustrating...
Lol… it’s actually not. I’m just so over it at this point. It’s really frustrating. Simple things that can be solved with proper communication are left to drag.
Why can’t they just talk to each other and ask for clarifications? They’re all adults for God’s sake! You don’t understand something, just ask. eg… between Minju and the lawyer; ‘what you said yesterday, this is the way I took it, is that how you meant it?’ Yu Gyeong to Wu-Yeol; ‘you’re confusing me, one moment you make me feel like we’ve got something going on, the next I see you with Gyuri all chummy. Are you still pondering between the two of us, who you like? or is there anything you want to clarify?’ Really simple!
No. Yes, I keep giving K-Dramas a shot b/c so many of them start off really well and then - for reasons I will…
I get that…. that’s a script problem then. it’s a problem with the story and the writing itself. I’m talking about when people keep complaining about the fact that the drama has tropes we’ve seen several times before especially in cases where it’s obvious the actors are really trying their best and bringing their A-game to the acting. There’s nothing wrong with tropes if it’s well done. This particular drama has garnered a lot of hate and the reasons are the same… ‘it contains clichéd tropes’… and these are from people who haven’t watched up to episode 3. I feel if one is going to hate a drama this much, then they shouldn’t bother watching it.
I don’t know what people mean when they say this drama follows typical cliché tropes. What’s all the hate for, really? Which Kdrana doesn’t have at least one typical trope or kdrama cliché? Yet we still watch it. There are lots of dramas that are predictable… yet we still watch and give great reviews. Is there really anything new under the sun? of course not! so it’s normal when kdramas still have some tropes we’re used to seeing. What matters is this drama was acted quite well. if it bothers you too much, just don’t watch. Simple!
I don’t understand. Is the PM really doing all these because he likes Huiju? or he has another reason? For someone who hasn’t had the guts to confess to Huiju all these time… he basically brother zoned himself. So what’s all these unnecessary drama for?
The king has been utterly adorable these past 2 episodes. Him carrying out his official duties? Stinking cute! When he tried to write the official decree to Hui-Ju's dad 😭
