he does say this line in the book, after the second break up when he decides to reconcile with her. maybe the have cut a lot of the book parts because in the book I felt like he was portrayed as a more cold character who is quite toxic. but he is definitely better in the series

yeah I feel like it was wayyy more dramatic in the books, and the dont rlly reconcile that quickly. I rlly recommend reading the books for these parts, but in terms of the romantic parts, the show is doing a better job.

this episode is rly rlly good and very apt with the book. only their final conversation is different from what happens in the book. in the book, Changyu argues with him for a lot longer, saying that she isnt someone who can be with him cause of the different positions and Zheng obviously argues back saying that she is the "best girl". but I rlly do love how they changed it in the series to show how important his days in li'an were to him and it also shows how muhc is loves changyu cause he wants to help her rebuild her home town, essentially kinda saying that he wants to spend forever with her and around the people she grew up with.

Oh makes sense, I was js seeing the previews for the 29th ep as well, the defo have cut parts out so that its fast pace but entertaining. I think today's episode will show the final identity reveal but not the fight, this will also give some clarity on how fast paced they are making it

Yeah thats what im wondering as well. Because the 25th episode is around chapter 60 I think in the books(I dont quite remember now). But that leaves like 100 chapters to be covered in 15 episodes which is a little insane. BUT I rlly hope the dont ruin the ending or give a part two cause the wait is going to drive me crazy

Honestly, I’m wondering whether the drama will cover the full novel. I started reading the novel because it seemed quite accurate to the series, but there’s still so much left in the story and not many episodes remaining in the drama. So, I’m wondering if they’ll cut out certain parts, since the novel is quite interesting but also very lengthy.
