One more note: Chen and Zhao look somewhat same to me, so i just can't see the romance as well. Plus his character rubs me in the wrong way possible... Feels kinda wrong like something about this character is just... Not it.
LolaLola, this drama is a social commentary on the age of consent law in China. Sang Zhi is old enough at the…
Hi plantinum fox, I thank you for the information you've shared and warm welcome. I also accept points of your comment. But still he strikes me as someone i don't really like neither the drama. He seems questionable to me tbh
dont watch dramas, girl. You project on them all your personal issues
Ohh and you're projecting your fantasies lol. You're a fan fine, but doesn't mean others are not allowed to criticise. Not every body has to like this. Btw I've seen you Replying to anyone when they say they don't find it that good. I think if anyone needs to catch a break, its you.
The chemistry is fire and while the drama concept is interesting... I really dont understand one thing did he even feel for her or was it sympathy since she's his victim now??? I mean he forced her that's why. I really don't understand why she'd like him though, just because he cried or was soft a few times despite hating her, she started to be real good, devoted and care for him. Look i get it sympathy is fine and even some bit of care since she's guilty and sad. But love?? What?? He saves her one time and she starts loving him then?? I personally believes she loves him because hes the only person other than her grandma and friends who protected and looked after her a few times, so she fell for him. Otherwise if it wasn't the lack of love in childhood, i really don't think she'd ever love him. Even now it confuses him what she sees in him to love? Or if there was ever a love? And what he feels for her as well??? Also, the ending was so sudden and didnt make sense and she really forgave him easily. Though i did rewatch at times, sometimes for the good amount of angst and sometimes... Because i dont understand this " Love. " Other than that, the chemistry is so good
This is one of those rarest times i actually love a freaking show and this is one of them, the story, the concept, the romance, the character development, the tension everything is so perfect and different from other dramas. Finally its not cold guy x bubbly, existence only for him girl or cold alpha ml x innocent fl. The chemistry is one of the best I've come across here. Chef's kiss. My comfort drama. This deserves atleast 9.0 or higher its so good and refreshing and unique. They need to do another drama asap and with such different, realistic yet sweet characters. ππππβ¨β¨β¨β¨
You know when i saw the first edit here... I was like oh looks underrated and sweet must try. Then it got really…
Plus maybe because im not into the fl chases ml forgetting about her existence , worth and she's only there for him trope . I liked this actress chemistry with edward chen or the exclusive fairytale guy better
You know when i saw the first edit here... I was like oh looks underrated and sweet must try. Then it got really hyped quickly then i read about it watched clips found out about the personality of the characters β one word overhyped. The fl literally is so cringy and embarrassing and talks in baby voice. Like y'all be doing aww just cause she's the fl if it was some other girl then it would be desparate and creep smh. This type of hs to college dramas with cold guy + bubbly annoying girl has been made a lot whether in china or korea. ( one point - just because a character is bubbly there's no need to mske them embarrassing cringy) . Look romantic efforts are nice but this much fixation like bruh!!! Efforts are sweet and hooking but this pure embarrassment. Her whole life revolves around him and him only. There's actually nothing special here as well. Everything's something done so many timesβ repetitive and not catching. I dont know what makes this different or alive from others either way. Sorry 2/10
Different drama and pretty interesting... The leads chemistry have become my fav chemistry of all time. Literally they look so good together!!! They need to be casted again. In my opinion shes probably his best chemistry. Maybe its how different yet interesting the drama is but it really is something like fresh and catching and good. Although I'll be honest second half im not sure what to say since people are saying it kinda moves from the plot so wish they'd do it differently + im also afraid of the fact when they both find out about her ( like her reality) im so afraid aghhh i left. Still would rate 10/10.
Mid ahh plot β basically mixture of everything popular trope you can find mixed together to let out whatever this is ... Like even boring or cringe isnt the correct word. Its so worse. It really doesn't deserve the hype I've seen better different and actually more well conducted dramas than this. The fl acts like a freaking child with that corny voice I've heard and the ml is just there to be a goodlooking, teasing yet having sad life afraid of love green flag.chen is good looking for sure but he's just here to be an eye candy with no real depth except some surface sad things in his life. I think it should be rated lower. Also what's this " ohh he didn't like her until she turned an adult"?? Hello she's 19 when he starts dating her and kissing and doing it suppose, even if shes legally adult that doesn't make this right. If legal age was 15 y'all would say the same thing too. Also, he has seen her literally from childhood, like i dont think a green flag who knew the other person from the time that person were a cute little kid, would start fantasising, liking them when they turned adult and physically touching them. Like how is he not grossed out. And please dont give me again the same thing he didn't really see her like that until adult. Like okay, but did he know her since a long ago? Did he? Yes !and im sure he was aware how she is, whats her personality like, even when she was 17, how she looked or would look like as an adult as well. So what made this sudden change of heart?? What changed this from plantonic friendship to romantic feelings? Just the fact she's now adult and thats all it takes for their dynamics to change?? Pretty unbelievable the only explanation is he was waiting for her to turn into an adult all this time- which is really disturbing
Look fans need to take it easy and act mature than jumping anyone who doesn't like this drama.
First of all bruh, sorry not my cup of tea, ive watched the trailer, edits and scenes, read reviews here...
I always see fans saying when someone doesn't like this drama - " Oh you don't like slice of life" " Oh you dont like slow burn" "You probably live a good comfortable life won't relate " " This kdrama is the realest best fic and people who want to live in their lala land won't like it"
First of all hello, I'm one of the people that does not like it. While I do appreciate the fact it shows proverty and how life is during those times rather than rich and comfy house and lifes, which is different but it definitely is NOT THE REALEST PIECE OF FIC.
Bruh i know life's not constantly happy and thats fictional but so is this tragedy trauma , tragedy trauma, emotional scenes, tragedy - trauma the whole thing the drama survives on + gwan sik green flag.
Only sad different things. Its like the director decided to insert whatever sad things he could so that drama could get attention.
One very heavy drama just meant to cry, nothing else.
Its overrated for me. And people need to understand that just because someone doesn't like it, doesn't mean they're rich, don't like sol or sb.
Not everyone thinks something that can make you cry 24/7 + constant sad themes = best drama and I'm one of those.
Plus i know its written in 80s but theres a difference in being green flag and then being irritaing somehwat.. Like From what i see she's really rude to him at times, I'm not saying go fight her off but why always be a doormat?? Is this what green flag ml in kdrama means??
If the roles were reversed, ik for sure people would be actually mad.
Also park bo gum and iu have cute faces, i may sometime later see them in a better or more suitable drama but not this for sure.
Anyways why does IU always do sad ending dramas??
Sorry but seen enough from everything else to watch the whole drama knowing its just trauma to bawl your eyes out. ( wont admit i did try first episode somewhat then immediate drop)
Rating this like 3/10 , for the poverty and how cute the lead looks together
