apparently they invented a scientific serum 🧪 of sorts/ artificial spin and injected it into his spine/ replaced his spine . Remember that the bad guys removed something from his spine (I think stem cells)/his entire spine that stopped the production of his cells. So with the new technology, they revived his dormant body. It’s similar to how the ML needed blood to be revived in S1.
Not really. it’s your choice. Just that watching S1 makes it easier to understand S2, but the plots of both are very different. S1 plot is finding the villain who betrayed ML, S2 plot is finding out that more mutants exists, FL’s pregnancy and finding the villain (who tries to take FL’s unborn baby)

Haha 😂. The reason why I watched this was the title, the backstory of the ML being “500 yrs” old and my curiosity as to who betrayed ML. For a more mature (emotionally , logically & better plot) drama, check out “The Centimeter of Love “ (my mom who doesn’t like dramas actually liked it 🥲). For something less goofy than this but still funny check out “Begin again (2020)”. Plot was interesting, it’s gets emotional around the middle. For a better Janice Wu drama, check out “Here We Meet Again”. She just naturally gives off that “I’m too good” vibe in dramas, but in “Here we Meet Again”, it’s way better. All of my recommendations are oldies but goodies 😉.

I don’t know if it’s worth it for you but for me it was kinda alright. Below is my “synopsis”. It contains spoilers (basically most parts of the plot). I don’t start from the beginning of the first episode but from their high school days. The drama uses flashbacks to connect the past with present. If you don’t want to see the spoilers, you can skip to the very last paragraph.
At the beginning the FL thought ML had a Bai yeguang, but he didn’t ! The supposedly bai yeguang was his employee, and she didn’t have interest in the ML ambiguously. ML & FL had a crush on each other since high school! They even had a one night stand together! But FL was drunk so forgot about it and ML thought they (ML and FL) were already dating. So when FL asked him if needed a gf, he said no. But since FL didn’t remember asking him to be her bf b4 the one night stand, she thought he rejected her. FL didn’t make it into the same University as ML, so she kept showing up in front of him as “coincidences”, but ML thought she popped up when she wanted and disappeared (again bcs ML knew they were dating). ML didn’t like how distant their relationship felt so he staged another one night stand when the FL was drunk (a few years later) to get her to marry him. FL was guilty the next day thinking she had taken advantage of ML and agreed to marry him. After marriage FL was happy and wanted to build a good relationship with ML, but guess what? ML didn’t return home for a whole year! 🤦♀️. ML pov: I tricked her into marriage. She might not like me. Plus I may accidentally spill the truth about the staged one night stand that got her to marry me. I heard she loves money, I’ll work more money for her to keep her afloat for the rest of her life. Maybe then she won’t leave me. FL pov: He must not like me. He hasn’t returned home since we got married. It’s okay , I’ll give him time to adjust. I’ll wait for him to like me. (few months later) He’s still not back. He must really like his Bai yueguang. It’s okay , I can still change him.
9 months into their marriage they had another “one night stand”. She became pregnant but didn’t know it. FL was out with her BFF. Her BSF told FL that she (BSF) was pregnant. FL was to send a message to BSF’s husband to pretend to be bsf’s bf from her alternate account. Fal accidentally sent the msg to guess who… ML! ML almost went crazy! This is when the strings of misunderstandings start. ML thought FL had a gigolo. FL used that opportunity to ask for a divorce. ML thought Fl’s pregnancy was by the gigolo. ML thought Fl’s BSF’s husband was FL’s gigolo. The the supposed Bai yueguang returned from abroad. FL thought ML spent a night at a hotel with supposed Bai yueguang. FL thought Bai yueguang’s apology gift was an insult to her baby. Then ML thought FL left her in the middle of the night to meet her supposed gigolo. This is when the misunderstandings are finally cleared up. Then came the villain from high school who tried to extort the FL, then posted pictures “of her cheating” (actually her with ML), then kidnapped her to extort ML. Villain was sent to prison. The they finally settled. ML, FL, BSF and BSF’s husband went shopping and prepared for the birth of their babies.
Ngl, I skipped a lot of parts while watching. At the beginning, there were parts I couldn’t watch (mostly when they misunderstood each other and FL wanted divorce and ML thought FL cheated) but the end was nice.
