first time watching I dropped it bc watching Bai Lu trying to play cutesy gave me the ick. but 2nd time powered thru and it got so much better! def not for everyone but it was a good story, visuals where good. it was surprising smart plot too. I binged it in 2 days so it is obviously very engaging. I’m glad I gave it a second chance!

I think it’s mid as far as the political storyline is more messy than clever. but the drama is engaging a worth a watch IMO. but I don’t think it ranks highly in the category you mentioned.

starting my rewatch of DY, Blood River and Blood of Youth. i haven’t read the novels but wanted to watch the story in order to make the connections better.
