I think when they said editing they are talking about how the scenes are cut from past to present (cause the directing and cinematography in this drama is the best in recent times )Some people dont understand yet that the timeskips done that way is intentional and they will fill the blanks later on.

Its a completely different story. Only common point is the sad kind of atmosphere which isnt proper to FF. But yeah go for it its so amazing. The chemistry is crazy and it has so much depth
